you think he gets a 3 year, $60 mil offer last year/
Obviously not because only Miami and the saints offered him anything serious....but if he had started all year in Miami and impressed even nearly as well as Fitz I believe he would have had more offers this year. People need to see him play and 5 games was a godsend for him but not nearly enough to get multiple teams excited. Proof is in the pudding.

I agree on premise it would have been dumb to go to Miami, but disagree on this. Rosen ended up as he did because he is Rosen and probably just not very good. I think if TB played he'd have done better than Rosen. Not sure he keeps the job as Fitz can play some, as well.
Fitz wouldn't have been offered a contract if bridge signed. I also believe that bridge could have played better than Fitz in Miami last year as Fitz is a journeyman QB we all know this. Although I do admit he did better than anyone thought he would.

Remember Rosen is very young and was dealt a bad hand to start his career. I'm not sure if he can be better but under the circumstances I can't shit on the guy either. Some very good QB's had the luxury of sitting behind a starter for a few years and he could be the same. IE. Was Rogers shit because he sat behind Brett?

I agree Bridgewater is better than Rosen. However Miami was a dumpster fire at start of season (vs. late in season) Rosen & Fitz got destroyed early on. Bridgewater would have started the season. Looked bad & replaced & would be in the same scenario as Rosen. Not implying he is like Rosen, but would be in same scenario.
Remember Fitz did start the season and was pulled for Rosen. Rosen wasn't ready and Fitz came back in after a few games and rocked. Same exact thing could have happened to bridge he's a lot more agile than Fitz with starting experience and Fitz did pretty good.

bottom line. They dont have expectations of Fitz. he is just the bridge to your future QB.
Bridgewater would have been the same thing only with more disappointment because expectations would have been higher.

Fitz is who he is & does what he does & that was no surprise. Everyone was happy with how he has played because expectations were lower.
Even at playing decent Bridgewater would be the same thing in Miami. A bridge to the future QB you guys draft.

I guess I have more faith in bridge than you do I think he would have performed at least as well as Fitz and most likely better. Remember bridge came off a bad knee and everyone hoped he would be back. No one was thinking super bowl in Miami that's why everyone was happy with Fitz. Not hard to please the crowd last season believe me. But if you think bridge is worse than Fitz then we're all blowing hot air here.

not saying he would be worse than Fitz. He could be every bit as good. Wont stop the Dolphins from looking towards their future QB. Barring an All Pro performance & come back player of the year. (which I wouldnt think would happen) The Dolphins is/will be looking towards their future QB. That position is just a stop gap until they find their "new" guy.

He probably had a simple typo (and you knew what it meant), but this makes sense?....."Keep derping you can life entertaining."

I noticed that after it was too late and go back and correct.

The point was he was calling people out for their lack of comprehension like he always does while at the same time making spelling and grammatic errors. I've said multiple times in these forums, I'm one of the last ones to act as a grammar or spelling Nazi.

You seriously don't understand my point do you...wow. I can't even comment its too embarrassing.

Do you understand your point?

Everyone here sees exactly what YOU wrote. That's your quote is it not?

You inferred that no one could've possibly thought that Brees may retire. Did you not?

I pulled just one article of many, that the player himself wasn't sure if he was going to play or not.

Yet you, somehow knew better than the actual knowledgeable football fans here on the Hoop? Not all of us get our football info from the four letter network and Madden like you. So even though the player wasn't sure if he was going to retire or not. You KNEW he wasn't so Bridge was dumb for taking the NO offer?

Is that what you want us to believe now? Or should I buckle up and wait for the next cyclone you're getting ready to spew?

es you know 100% that even if bridge played fantastic if he had accepted their offer that the Fins would just walk away from him and not offer anything close to what a rebuilding carolina offered

Based on what they were offering, I'd say it was close to 100%

Again you or amando or baby Jesus have no idea what the Fins offered you can only speculate.

I do know what the Dolphins were offering, so did Salguero. 10 million for 2 years with only the first year guaranteed. Need a link? I can provide one if you doubt me.

Links don't prove anything unless the originate from the imaginary world of FFF.

Certainly possible. My only disagreement with you on this is ripping the guy for choosing to stay put as though he was scared to be exposed by playing.

I don't really buy that narrative. Never have. Sitting or not sitting, IMO, rarely decides what a QB will become.

I hear ya, and I have made comments like you did, as well. However, not for a simple typo where it's clear he knew the correct spelling.

Now when someone calls someone out for being dumb then uses the wrong use of your and you're? Fair game.

Not sure about the context here, but often links don't prove anything. In the case of a contract offer it would depend who the source is. Unnamed? Could be true, but certainly not proof.

I could find a link that said John Dorsey wanted Josh Allen at #1, for instance.

FYI, for the most part I disagreed with FFF on this topic and his thought TB didn't come to Miami because of fear. That was absurd to me.

You could be right as I'm sure Miami would have still drafted someone and not bet all of the marbles on bridge but at the same time other teams may have felt more confident in signing him. Teams who are more ready to win now like Chicago or LAC. Because he didn't get enough of a look out there only carolina offered him a deal. That's my point not sure why anyone can't see this?

What were the Vegas odds on brees retiring....enough said. He is in the perfect situation on a contender and is playing at a high level sure anyone can retire but let's be serious here. If he's so close why didn't bridge sign on with the saints for another year? Answer me that know it all.

I see where back to just flipping everything on everyone else and telling them they never answered the question.

when the questions at hand were never answered. Same narrative. Different day. Different posters.

Ok your opinion but that's about all it is opinion no different than my opinion. You can try to bully me all you want but end result is that he could have done better with more playing time. Show the world your talent but he chose to be a backup.

Again salguero is an idiot ask any Miami fan he apparently knows everything but in the end knows nothing. Even at that first offer bridge should have taken it for the reasons I've said above.
