Simmons could very well go #4 to the Giants. I think the Giants go either Simmons or OT

The dream draft for the Skins is that they trade down with Miami. Pick up #18 and their 2nd 2nd round pick. Then the draft goes burrow,Tua,Okudha,Simmons then Young.

Im seeing some mocks that maybe the USC tackle and the Houston tackle could be there at#18 but they are not at the same level as the top 5. Don't you want a star LT if you make the trade? What if you trade down to #5 and its goes Burrow, tua, Okudha/Young and Simmons? Was it worth the trade down? I say hell no!!

So let me get this straight. If the draft goes,
1- Burrow
2- Tua
3- Okuda or Young
4- Simmons
5- You do realize this means we either get Young or Okuda?

I see four OTs off the board before 18. I see Jackson and a jones both available. I am not sure who the mysterious fifth is.

Would I give up the second pick in the draft, Chase Young, for the opportunity to draft a good young OT at 18, a first next season, perhaps a second next season, and still get Young at 5 or maybe get stuck with Okuda? Perhaps.

You are a Lion fan and you want Young. I can see why you want us to trade down. lol.

Guilty as charged. I was all warmed up to the idea of the Lions being the ones to trade down w some team moving up for Tua, but it seems now that it will be you guys. If we then pass on Young for Okudah I’ll rip my public hairs out in a rage and probably never watch football again .

I see your point but I think we just get #18 and a 2nd round pick from Miami. I think Young is worth more.

Why do you believe that is all we will get considering history says otherwise?

Now you may be right. Hell, we may only get 18 and 5 according to the chart; however, history says we get more.

From there, if we can get Young at 5, your scenario, and pick up 18, wouldn’t that be good?

I have consistently seen Okuda and Simmons being ranked 2/3 interchangeably in all evaluations.

BTW...I am only asking because I wouldn’t trade down for just 18 and a second. I would stick with Young.

Of course if Young is there at #5. I agree Young is worth more, I just don't think Miami gives the farm up to get Tua like we gave up for RG3. What Im worried about is RR thinking he needs Simmons in his LB core and would do anything to trade out. According to the draft chart #18 is even in moving up from #5 to #2. I would want a 2nd rounder also. Plus if we get a 2nd in the TW trade then it could make it more interesting. Miami does have to worry about The Chargers moving ahead of them but they have way less draft capitol but could toss in Hunter Henry in the deal. I think Miami calls our bluff and deals with Detroit instead of us. I also think Detroit is moving down unless Young is there.

The way that I rank the defensive players is #1Young #2Okudah #3 Simmons.

Why don’t you believe Miami will give up that much? Tuna is a much better prospect than RG3, and Tannehill is a better prospect than Herbert is...my opinion.

Well, if Simmons can be the next Kuechley, and our defense can dominate like the Panthers did for so long, wouldn’t that be good?

I mean if the Skins were to trade down and still get Simmons, that’s a win imo. Young won’t last imo. But the safe and right play is stay at 2 and draft Young

If the redskins trade out of 2 to miami at 5, they absolutely lose Young.

if the lions or giants dont take Young, then somebody will trade up with the lions or giants to take him. Raiders? Chargers?

i dunno.

You probably trade to 5 if you think Simmons plus picks is as good as Young.
I apologize both if somebody already said this, or if its obvious - been not concentrating on football recently....

Then Miami would have to do the swap and gives us both of there 1st rounders to move up 3 spots. I just don't see it. I rather see us get the pass rusher than Simmons.

If Young went to the Giants that would be a disaster.

An elite pass rusher is the most important of building a defense. You can pass on a guy that got the same combine grade as Watt, Garrett, Clowney, etc.

We stay at 2 unless we get a blockbuster
Deal
now RK was drafted at 17 and anyone arguing he wasn’t worth that pick is high as a GA pine .

if we get an LT of that quality we are in excellent shape in a trade down

Clowney's good, but he's not a game-changer. He's averaged 6 sacks a year in the NFL.

He's definitely underachieved numbers wise but injuries have been an issue. Still a game-changer
