with a lower cap, or at least a freeze, there may also be a compliance buy-out available.

leading to Lucic and Louie leaving licketysplit

I don't think there will be a lower cap. Honestly I'd be surprised if there was even a freeze.

Compliance buyouts are so last decade. We need full amnesty. Maybe a poison pill of full amnesty for forfeiting your first round pick or something like that.

/and get rid of the hard cap while we're at it

That makes sense. The market already does that same sort of thing (see Leafs-Carolina and the Marleau contract)

The results: No other Canadian city was more united in its love of its regional broadcast(s) than Vancouver, where 87 percent of respondents gave it the highest possible mark on our scale. Just three percent rated it average or below, and the most common complaint there was that the intermission panels featured too much Toronto content.

Yep! heard someone say intermission always goes likes this lol

In my opinion, Shorthouse and Ball are both excellent play-by-play guys. John Garrett is a good colo(u)r man, a little bit of a homer, but he's tolerable. Kevin Quinn (Oilers play-by-play guy) is terrible and he's a homer play-by-play guy which is a double whammy. I was expecting Oilers to be bottom of the barrel for him alone.

Where did Jeff "I don't know where I am" Rimer and Jody "No Jeff, that's not his name" Shelley wind up?

Shorthouse and Garrett discussing Kraft Peanut Butter likely knocked them down a few pegs :D

Rimer used to be great, but he is starting to lose it. The names and numbers thing is right on. He's calls Dubois "Jenner" a lot, called Elvis "Bobrovsky" a number of times (Also once called him "Melvis Erlicksins") and dubbed someone "Filano" when neither Foligno or Milano were on the ice.

He also once said "It's time for Blackets hockey!".

Jody is pretty awesome, and I love JLGP, he is hilarious. Geezerslag I can take or leave.

I like Rimmer, but agree. Maybe he could shift to some other role in the organization.
