I really liked what Dorsey in the draft but of course I wouldn't bring him back bc he have a new FO that picked their guy and their coach to their scheme. Everything has changed so of course not.

Hard to compare FA classes bc there were different options but I would say Berry did much better as of right in FA (still have to see how it plays out during the season) and like you said we will see how the draft goes.

Hard to compare at this point but love the moves Berry has made to this point.
come on, my friend...you can say it. Berry at least looks like he is better so far and not even close. If you'd like could make the question dump Berry and coaches and bring back Dorsey, Freddie, etc. Figured that was too easy to answer though.

So wish Berry would have said we need to find "real coaches" in his opening presser.

Yeah....I'm bitter I was fooled by Dorsey.

Talent wise they could be close but yeah it has to do with fit too. I know Andrew Thomas or Beckton spent their entire career at LT specifically, if the Browns want a franchise LT that could mean a lot more than a guy like Wills, he was a RT last season or Wirfs who played guard and tackle at Iowa.
Granted, who knows how true, but have heard some say Beckton might not be a good fit in wide zone scheme. Heard Thomas might be best for their scheme. Again...doesn't come from Browns so who knows?

This is something fans think. To us, they might be closely lumped" but to those who do this for a living I'd bet they have them all separated. Many are saying some may or may not fit the Browns' new scheme.
Oh I don't doubt they are separated I argue about Media hype on draft prospects all the time. I also can't stand when someone tells me a guy dominated in college. Hawaii qbs do yearly, they aren't good pros. Guys run all over ppl In college and their games don't translate , it's different.

anyways, they very wel may not like one of the four. But it does seem the handful is held in higher regard.

To tack on too, the same folks that will talk about how rb x was awesome, even though he has less than desireable
Measurable and speed. Will then tel you how Jordan love is a top prospect, yet the stats don't align..... wonder why?

You are just obsessed with Dorsey LOL. If bringing back fat Freddie is even a question I don't know what to tell you. I hated him and his big, fat mouth too. If Dorsey doesn't hire him, last year COULD have been better but who knows...who cares. He hired Kitchens and it was a disaster

Sasha < Dorsey < Berry

As of right now they are moving in the right direction it appears but they should with this talent. The worst thing Dorsey did was hire Kitchens and he is gone bc he wanted more control. Berry has been a breath of fresh air so far.

As I think I mentioned before (and you agreed) they go all on what they hear. ESPN if they wanted could make fans think Hurts should be a top 4 QB. a couple highlights and slip him into Mayock's next mock would do the trick.

That how it is every pre-draft...all rumors but it's all we have until the draft. It's just part of how things work and why it's fun to discuss.

Sashi not a fair comparison as he was not in the same role as Berry and Dorsey. Yes, sashi made decisions but did so relying on his football people (like Berry). always said he was there to break ties and they would eventually hire a credible GM.

And he allowed Dorsey to walk into best situation any GM ever walked into.

As for Freddie, first thought was IF he was the best choice, then fine. Don't hire him because you can control him (or are afraid you might lose him). Clearly it was the latter. Like you, I got tired of his act quickly.

I'd sum up Dorsey by saying he had a decent 2018, a disaster in 2019. 2018 grade improves a lot if Baker reverts to 2018 form and takes another step forward.

No doubt it is fun.....most fun is when fans get worked up over rumors that haven't even happened as though they did.

will never forget the angst when Friend of Dorsey said we were taking Josh Allen #1. Or when one of the biggies (Shefter I think) said he was 100% sure we were taking Trubisky #1 hours before draft.

That draft was crazy but unlike one I have ever seen. I can't remember the last time nobody had a clue who was going #1 AND nobody picked the right guy lol. Makes it fun. I've gotten to the point I love seeing Browns rumors but it means nothing until it happens

Even though I make fun of those who get worked up over them, treat them as gospel or don't get many are just made up or guesses I love them too. what else do we have leading up to draft?

will say at least in our recent history I don't think anyone saw vast majority of our trades coming or nailed who we'd take in the draft. I guess they got baker.....but not until minutes before the draft, and there was some OBJ smoke.

Saw an interesting rumor the other day. well, not an actual rumor. Just a trade scenario as a topic for a show as what else can they talk about if not the outbreak?

Browns get - T. Williams and #2 pick
skins get - #10, a 3rd and 2021 first

Assuming TW worth a 3rd pretty much comes down to the 10 and another 1st for the 2. Unless the Skins just want to dump TW I think they might want more than this.
if there was truth to this. I think the Skins would jump at the chance for this.
Well i guess I should rephrase. Should jump at it.
So they would probably turn it down for some dumb reason LOL

Not so sure....If Browns like williams, might get him for that 3rd. That means the other part is 10 and next year's 1 for #2.

IF the Skins think Young is the generational talent some say might be hard to pass on him. Browns make this deal, very possible that pick of theirs is in the 20s. so #2 for 10 and 20?

I mean if this were to happen the Browns would get a chance to pick from Chase Young, Isiah Simmons or Jeff Okudah. I don't think there is any chance this would happen but fun to think about lol

Great deal for Houston IMO. Good player to play on early downs and sub out on passing downs

Texans signed DT Timmy Jernigan, formerly of the Eagles, to a one-year, $3.75 million contract.
The deal includes $1.25 million guaranteed. There was clearly no need to bring Jernigan back in Philly with ex-Steelers DT Javon Hargrave and reserve run-stuffer Hassan Ridgeway under contract. The 27-year-old bounced back mightily last year, overcoming a potential season-ending foot injury in the team's second game only to return and finish with two sacks and three quarterback hits across 274 defensive snaps as the Eagles' rotational starter. He'll likely take on a larger role ahead of Eddie Vanderdoes given D.J. Reader's exit to Cincinnati in free agency.

Another rumor I am hearing is Wirfs might be the top choice. Mainly bc he is very athletic and they are implementing a zone blocking scheme. He was a wrestler in high school and pretty powerful.

agree, and to be clear not an actual rumor. Just a discussion topic on a radio show.
