You said that Arison would have to start trading away players, dumbass. Of course cruise lines are going to be impacted by this epidemic. Doesn't mean that Arison's business is going away. It means he's going to take a short-term hit, as are a ton of other companies.

And if money was the end all be all, why hasn't Balmer's (who's the richest owner in the league) been to the conference finals, let alone actually win a title? Stupid fuck.

That was more in jest, but i am glad it upset you so much lol

Carnival has a pretty good chance of going Ch 11 tho

Even if it doesn't, he would be smart to cut his Heat payroll down to bare minimum, trade expensive players to save cash that he is hemoridging. A smart business man would, but he inherited so he isn't very smart. Plenty of teams do this, the fans still show up anyways in most cases, see MSG in NY. It's still a business

Balmer just bought the Clippers lol...And they had a pretty rapid good improvement in case you never noticed lol...

Kiss sports goodbye everyone
Meh. It will he
What you're not grasping is that this thing isn't the same everywhere.

New York is extremely crowded and people are stacked on top of one another. So, bks has to be a helluva lot more careful leaving his house than I do leaving mine because I'm in a much less populated area and folks are more spread out.

Additionally, curves are beginning to flatten. If memory serves, I heard yesterday that Italy (the hardest hit country with numbers we can trust) has experienced a decrease for 4 straight days.

As bks points out, cancelling the season isn't even being discussed at this point.

There have even been comments that the NBA could finish the season in August, start next season on Christmas Day and then going forward have seasons start on Christmas Day and run through August. It would pretty much eliminate having to compete directly with the NFL and CFB for viewers and the season would end before the baseball playoffs eliminating competing with those as well.

And finally, Canada is behind the United States in getting this thing. So, you will hit peaks later and your curves will flatten later because of that.
BOOM.

So you're an idiot, got it.

And for as smart as Gilbert is that you claim him to be, how has he had Lebron for 11 total years on the Cavs, and mustered 1 NBA title?

The idea being you are very socially distant on a golf course. Same with walking your dog or playing in the park with your kids.

If you don't have symptoms, it should be ok to be outside, if you stay 6 feet away from people and be really careful about touching stuff, wash hands a lot, etc.

It's how we have been doing it in CA for a while and it clearly is working here.

2 issues with golf:

Money exchange and carts

If you walk the course and find a safe way to do the money exchange, it is safe. Most people use carts though. That presents some real social distancing problems.

Oh, I also heard today that the Lakers have completed their quarantine and they are clear of the virus.

So, that's the Jazz and Lakers that have been cleared.

Do we know of any others?

The key here is what measures is the league taking to make sure players remain cleared?

Being corona free in March is nice, but it isn’t helping us get back to NBA games unless we can insure NBA personnel remain corona free.

More specifically, he said Arison would have to trade off his young players.

You know, guy like Bam and Herro who aren’t making that much money.
