Flores is a natural leader. Those guys seem to prefer other leaders at QB. Fitzpatrick is that type of guy. I get the sense Rosen doesn't have that presence about him. He has talent though. If the Fins choose Tua they would probably keep 3 QBs for a year.

Burrow was carried off the field by LSU players.

Tua played through a lot of adversity I am sure that he has the respect of his teammates. Plus he won a championship also and that brings credibility.

Herbert may not be an alpha male but he could win and that could cause guys to follow him. He got better and more successful progressively in college.

RE Tua: I wonder what it would cost to get to pick 3. I cant see the Redskins passing on DE Young. If Tua slides to 4 then the cost is less but he could be gone. So much depends on the value the Fins put on Tua and Herbert with their decision.

Recent video shows good footwork by Tua. He looks to be recovering well. Unless the Fins like Herbert as much or more I think that they should make a deal. His accuracy was never in question.

I don't think I would give up a first rounder in a tradeup for Tua. I would rather have Herbert and all the draft picks. Health wise he's the safer pick anyways. He had a good week with practices in the Senior Bowl and played well in the game. I think that's a good sign.

The Kyle Allen pick up assuredly means the Redskins will draft Tua and trade Haskins.

Will be interesting to see Miami and San Diego fight it out over Hebert. Or maybe Miami trades up to 1 for Burrow.

I'd pick Simmons at 5 before Herbert. A unicorn.

Simmons could be a star however the Fins just added LBs. The Fins could use a safety but I think they could pick one later. Their greater needs are QB, OT, and RB ( although Howard is a great addition)

I don't get the unicorn reference for Herbert.

It seems early to give up on Haskins but it could happen. Detroit would be celebrating that they could pick Young.

RE San Diego and Herbert: The Fins have way more draft capital than them. The question is what are the Fins willing to give up?

RE Burrow: I am for a tradeup if they can still land a starting OT and another quality RB. I think the Bengals will want to keep him. He has too much talent and he's a local guy.

As much as I like Burrow, keeping the picks gives the Fins great options not only at OT but at Safety if they decide to add a top talent.

One of either McMillan or Baker wouldn't be retained if we drafted Simmons. They're decent but neither are world-beaters.

I was calling Simmons a unicorn.

If I am coach Patricia I would probably try to trade with the Fins. They could add a second round pick and still land Simmons or Okudah. Their defense needs a game changer. I would probably pick Simmons between the two.

The Fins should stand pat and draft whatever is there at 5. If they don't like what they see trade back a bit and get an OT or QB there. They could then trade up from 18 if necessary to get the other position. I fully believe that they need QB and OT with their top two picks.

That approach would be fine with me. Either Tua or Herbert could be great choices. As I mentioned it would be very unusual to have 3 QBs picked in the top 5. The Fins would control the draft at that point if that happened because several teams would be trying to trade up.

They would have to give up at least 18, a 2nd round and a later round sweetner to move into the top ten but its possible That would allow them to get their QB and top 4 OT. I would be ok with this. They have so many picks that they could upgrade a 3rd round to a 2nd if they had to later on to get a player they want.

I think the main thing for the Fins is to keep the options open. I want the team to get the right QB early as much as anyone. That said, if Love is the guy ( to develop) and could be picked later the Fins could pick DT Brown at 5 for example. He is strong enough to be a run stuffer at NT but also could be disruptive against the pass. The team would have one of the best defenses in the NFL with the guys that they already have on the roster now. They would still need to get a starting OT, RB, and safety but they have options with all of those picks.

I mentioned D Brown as an option if Tua or Herbert are both gone at pick 5 (unlikely) or if teams are not being reasonable for a trade up. Trading down is also an option.

I would rather go OL at #5 instead of DL if Tua and Herbert are gone by then, but don't see 3 QB's going in first 4 picks.

The Fins have a greater need at OT. OT would also be a good choice.

Teams are going to try to run against the Fins to avoid the secondary. DT Brown is a difference maker against the run and relentless also in passing situations.
DT Fotu could be picked later. He plays the run well but won't make as much of an impact with passing plays. He is a solid option though at NT in a 3-4 especially on early downs.

I think the Fins will get a QB with their first pick. I just think it's good to consider all options.

Some fans believe that OT is so strong this year that the Fins could wait until the second round to get one. The gap between the top four may not be as large as the media is making it. I'm not sure about this but it would open up some other possibilities. Will be interesting.

I still think that they'll go QB at 5 as you don't get that opportunity too often but who knows they may not like Tua or Herbert. Would be a massive shakeup in the draft.

I wouldn't chance missing a starting OT. Using a first round pick is needed unless the team packages later picks to move up into the first round with another pick. It wouldn't surprise me if the Fins pick two OTs early. They definitely need at least one top talent at the position.

I can't disagree if anything they should take one at 26 to make sure they get one that they like. I also wouldn't be pissed off if they traded up from 18 as it wouldn't take as much. Even if they like Love at QB they could go OT at 5 but would love slide to 18? I'm not sure about that so they may have to make some hard decisions either way. Crazy stuff....
