Have there been any talks here (or in media) on whether it could still happen at a later date (obviously, much later)?

I get many issues to get past if they had it in, say, June, July or August.....what is happening in NBA? are they in their playoffs?........would top players want to play and risk draft status? ........hell, possible draft has already taken place......what about seniors who are no longer in school?

Or is it done and that's that (my guess is this is the answer)?

Doner than done.

Focus now is on whether the NBA season is done as well. COVID has really directly impacted the NBA. A ton of players have it and now KAT's mother is not doing well.

At this point it would extremely hard if not impossible to strip Auburn of their national championship.

With Bruce Pearl as your coach, it's retroactively stripped.

Not that it means anything or should matter to you guys, but they replay the UMBC game more than the Texas Tech game.
If losing to a 16 seed every other tournament motivates us to win the championship the next season, I’ll take that loss no problem. :2cents:

It's certainly a scary thought, but next season could be in jeopardy too.

If college football is in jeopardy, basketball doesn't start much later.

I’ve been hoping that things get back to normal by mid to late May but not holding my breath waiting for that to happen. It’s weird that nothing is going on right now, especially baseball, even though my team is going to suck for another two to three years. If this goes into summer and delays training camps for everyone, I wonder how they’d do the schedule. Maybe eliminate either a bye week or a couple of OOC games?

Some teams are already starting to schedule I hear, so that's a good sign.

I think total worst case scenario is losing football season and college basketball for next year too.

Best case scenario I think is no NBA, but baseball comes late and football comes on time.

Until we get to a point when safe distancing is eliminated we aren't having sporting events of any kind. I don't expect this to last thru the summer months.

Best case scenario for baseball would be half a season and just eliminate the all-star game this year and extend the trading and waiver deadline back until the end of August. I'm with you on the NBA and NHL. I think that both of their seasons are over.
Not sure about football. I feel like both NCAA and NFL still have a chance of starting on time. If not, I guess UVA won't have to worry about taking the opening game beating from the Georgia Bulldogs down in Atlanta.

If you told me baseball and NBA were both done but NFL/CFB were going to play their seasons I'd say sign me up.
