I'd keep him.
There's no need to it now.
We're already short on serviceable lefties as it is.

But if they still think a trade is best for him & the team, and they're able to get some arms (including a southpaw) back in return for him, then maybe it's best to hold off until around the trade deadline in the summer.

Btw: Eff the friggin Yanks.

:heh:

That's unfortunate...and there seems to be a bunch of pitchers opting for TJ surgery now due to the uncertainty of the shutdown.
Might as well get it out of the way now while the season is on the brink of a full cancellation.

As of now they're saying "Memorial Day" could be the the start of regular season games with lots of double headers thrown into the mix to make up as many of the lost games as possible....but nothing is etched in stone currently.

I also read somewhere that July 1st was also a target date to start...and a 100 game season was a real possibility.

Personally I'd much rather err on the side of caution as most rational people, and would like MLB to just come out and say the 2020 season has been officially cancelled.

The cure and abatement of this Covid-19 global pandemic has got to be the #1 priority of everyone. The USA should be on the front lines in seeing that becomes a reality. Most of the world is watching us as the leader and guiding force. So far we've only done a fraction of what I think needs to be done in getting things back to "normal" and out of 24/7 crisis mode.

Not meaning to sound like an alarmist....but maybe I do?

The scary thing is, the virus hasn't even peaked yet...and many health experts and medical professionals say things will get worse in the coming days/weeks/months.

This shit is real....and people need to stop being selfish & stubborn, and they better get their heads out of the asses and remove their foot from their mouths.

That said...it's good to see more & more states taking this seriously by shutting down to keep their citizens safe.

It has got to be a total cooperative effort across the board.

NEW YORK -- Last season, the Mets’ top six starters began 154 of their 162 games. As much as some of that was thanks to an organizational focus on health, the Mets understood the unlikelihood of repeating such a rare feat.

As a result, the team made starting pitching depth a focal point of its offseason plan, acquiring Rick Porcello and Michael Wacha on one-year contracts -- moves that seem prescient now, giving the Mets a fully stocked rotation despite the news that Noah Syndergaard will miss the entire 2020 season due to Tommy John surgery. Here’s a look at the Mets’ rotation depth without Syndergaard in their short-term plans:

If and when this season ever gets underway.....

What are Mets' rotation options without Thor?

We're all good out here...thanks.

Doing what we gotta do to help.

Things are surreal. Crazy scary times.
Hopefully this pandemic will be over soon so things return to "normal" in a few months.

Stay safe back there.

TTYL.
