Cox is a good player but no Jerome Brown?

I was thinking about it. Both All Pro DTs. But obviously Cox has had a longer career, has helped the Eagles win their first Super Bowl and did so without the benefit of playing next to Reggie White. I think Cox has an outside chance of making the Hall of Fame one day. 4 time All Pro, 5 time pro bowl he needs to put together one or more all pro seasons and string together some other quality years and even then he will have to wait due to being overshadowed by Donald. But at 29 he has a chance.

If Donald wasn't playing he would be in the argument for best, I wonder if Donald being so good could hurt Cox's chances

Yeah it will hurt his chances. That's why he needs a few more really good years and even then he will lilely have to wait some years after eligibility just because Donald was/is so superior.

When past players are talked about, JB always come to my mind of what could have been.

There were times I thought he was better then Reggie White. He was such a tremendous force. Really looked like he was Hall of Fame bound. Such a huge loss and that D was just absolutely loaded. Reggie White, Jerome Brown, Eric Allen, Wes Hopkins was fantastic, Clyde Simmons had a 17 sack season all while Seth Joyner was winning DPOY awards. Just stacked on every level.

Agreed. JB was a monster on the line and yes I also believe he could have been HoF bound. Buddy had an amazing defense, just too bad he wouldn't get an actual OC or things might have been different back than.

It just keeps him from being #1. I don't think too many will hold that against him.
