MOAB - 2007 308.jpg

Of all of the pictures I have taken, this is still my all time favorite - I walked over five miles round trip to take this picture and it came out exactly like the ones the park uses

It's a hike you would need 5 hours and start in the late noon when it is cooler and have a Camelback

I could spend years photographing Utah. I should move there. This summer I plan on the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone when it's all opened up.

You will enjoy them, make sure to take some time for Yellowstone. You can also see more pictures on a facebook page called National Parks in Color

I haven't been there since the early 80s. Have a better camera now.
I have pictures of Bryce, Arches, Captol Reef and Escalante Grand Staircase, As we Canyon De Chelley in Arizona and Natural Bridges in Az was nice as well. The drive from Az into Utah was also spetatucular. i got greedy a year ago and got a 24 megapixel with a 16mm to 300 zoom lens, I hardly ever use my 200 to 500 zoom any more

I did those in July and Oct, 2018, plus Zion. Grand Canyon, and Monument Valley, except De Chelley and Grand Escalante - road was washed out. Last May, Death Valley and Yosemite. I use the Canon Mark IV, 30 MP since I wanted to get 20x30 enlargements. Very pricey but it should be my last camera for awhile.

Cannon is the only camera I use - Sony is a fragile camera and unlike the Cannon, is easily damaged.

I bought the wife what I thought was an entry level DLSR camera...got her a Canon...EOS T7 with an extra larger lens, case, etc.

We took it Paris in '17, and a few other places but that's about it, not nearly as much use as I was expected...I'm think of taking the camera over and picking up the hobby myself...but with golf, music, I don't have time for another hobby.

Is this something she (or me) should take a class for or you just learn by trial and error?
