No doubt that Cleveland added a lot of talent after the Mayfield pick. I've read several articles that have suggested that they've built the team wrong - Letting a few core folks at important positions walk.... But some of this is probably people just looking for reasons why they have failed. My hunch is that it had much more to do with coaching. We'll see this year I suppose.

Letting Zeitler go for more defense was a huge mistake I think. Like we keep preaching as Bengal fans this off season. If you are going to take a franchise rookie QB, you had better protect him and you give him a leg up on success and confidence. They had that on that line year one, they did not last year, and what a difference in that offense. I know coaching had to do with that also, but Kitchens called offensive plays both years, but the difference was the playbook they revised.

Browns have to go offensive line this year. Bengals need at least one more good Offensive lineman to insert from FA, along with Williams coming back, some 2nd year player growth and maybe a drafted prospect this year.

I think Burrow can have a great rookie season if they protect him, build the offense to suit his strengths, and keep his weapons on the field. Now, how much he will have to score to keep pace with what the defense is surrendering, that is another story.

I agree. Trading Zeitler backfired. They haven't built the OL the right way, the coaching moves have been awful...I'm not sure if the defense isn't in sync or it is coaching bc the defense is so inconsistent but so has the offense. Like you said, coaching is a BIG part of it

After Burrow killed all the narratives; calling everyone out for making something out of nothing. Putting words in his mouth, stop bad-mouthing the Bengals, etc.. Now the media deliberately trying to crash his draft stock.

Small hands? Really? Just petty and childish. Brain cells can't cover all the stupid.

And really lets be specific here.... The media that was driving this 'Burrow won't play for the Bengals' nonsense was mostly Florio and his squad of idiots over at PFT/NBC. Other national media member called him out on this several times and he just continued to double down. There was a time that Florio was a refreshing voice - A guy that would report on things that others would avoid. That time is gone.... Now he's basically a troll.

BTW - Patrick Mahomes hands are 1/4 bigger than Burrow's.

  • Plan A was to convince Burrow to not go there.
  • Plan B was to convince Cincinnati to trade the pick.
  • Plan C was to find any flaws in Burrow because Plan A & B failed.

Now in this very moment Plan D is to promote other QB prospects as better picks because Plan A, B, & C failed. I wish sports media was like how it was 15 to 20 years ago. These people now need to find another line of work instead of trolling.

I'm not a Bengals fan anymore, but I hope they do good with Burrow. This has becoming outrages.

You know if it was say... Cleveland or Buffalo having this first pick to select Burrow, talks would be "future super bowls". It's some serious undisclosed mental illness going on.

On all of your "plans" why? why would the media do that? im just curious what you think the rationale is. They all hate joe burrow?

"Quintez Cephus looked good in the receiving drills, but his testing numbers were poor. It would've been one thing had Cephus run a low 4.6, but his 40 time was a ghastly 4.73, which could be a disqualifier. Also, his hands were microscopic, measuring in at 8 3/4 inches. Only three receivers had smaller hands."

man this guys hands, the media, "microscopic" just trying to kill this kid.

They hate the thought of following the Bengals.

Why? Maybe because of the playoff drought? That can't be it though because it's a few shittier franchises. Boring perhaps? They hate their Skyline Chili? I don't really have the answers.

Just the bengals? Nothing when the browns picked early? Didn't try to sabotage the cards and midget Murray? Goff? Winston?

just have a thing for the bengals of all teams? I think ur taking things a bit far.
