Everybody cool your jets on Brady.
Until the CBA is settled and free agency starts it's all up in the air.
Brady himself probably doesn't know what will happen.
Pats need cap room and Brady could gobble most of it up. It’s understandable that he should get paid whatever he’s asking, but at what cost for the team? Gonna be interesting to see what happens in a couple of weeks.

I still can't see him leaving New England. I just can't.

I want him/them to shit or get off the pot.

If it goes off like a bathtub fart as it did with Gronk, nobody is going to win, especially the Patriots.

I think the Brady drama will go on for a while ... Kinda like when Manning went to the Broncos, teams were scrambling to try and get him...

Bob Quinn and Matt Patricia get Brady to come to Detroit and trade Matthew Stafford to da Bears. The Lions are really good at shooting themselves in the foot.

That trade would never happen, but the Bears have 26m in space plus they could free up more with cuts. If Stafford were traded his cap hits would be 22 million for the Lions this year and 8.3 million for the team taking his contract on this year, 20m next year and 23 million in 2022. The new team would be on the hook for 3 years 51.3 million pretty good deal imo. The writing is on the wall and most fans realizes Stafford is gone at the first opportunity get something for him while we can and have a high pick to bring in the next guy.

I thought his cap hit was much larger. I stand corrected.

I know it's another great Tom the great where is he going thread but:

Dear OP,

On what bases do you think that Carolina is going to be any good?
Cam still might not be there, hell Cam might not be healthy to start the season any where else this year.
Their MLB just retired
Their all world TE just got cut

This team was 5-11 last year where are you coming up with this "bounce back campaign"?

It's the NFL. How often do drastic personnel changes pay off in year 1?

2017 Rams
2017 Jaguars
2015 Raiders (7-9 was a improvement from 3-13).
Am I missing anyone?

I don't want Carolina to be good but they are the team whose been run over in the division and no team is due for divisional payback more than they are. The Falcons have swept them back to back, Saints two of the last three years and 5-0 meaningful games. The Bucs have split with them last two years. This division hasn't had any team down long outside of the Bucs.

  • Saints won't win the division, and Bucs could win division with Brady
  • Brady can't win a ring in the same division as Brees
I mean...yeah the logic makes sense.

Brady has declined before Brees. This past season showed it. I think the Saints are the only team that would split the series with a Brady Bucs. But Brady will have better weapons in TB than he did in NE. He's got three quality playmakers in TB to throw to. And Brees is likely to be still be good, but I feel Saints are due for some divisional paybacks. Especially Carolina. And it's Atlanta's turn for the next sweep.

The three teams you have listed had talent on the roster and need coaching change.
This Panther team doesn't have the talent:

QB: who is it going to be? There saying all the right answers right now about Cam but he's hurt

MLB: Just pulled his own walk off, granted the kid wasn't on the field all the time but still a major hit

This team was #20 in scoring and #2 in points allowed!
On top of that they went out and hired a one hit wonder of a head coach from the NC2A!

Tampa Bay will be a better team then the Panthers!

That still doesn’t explain any of that backwards logic
