Buh bye, TW.

two picks, or a first round pick, or one pick and a LT prospect should do the trick (I think).

Seems like it was just about the money after all.

Maybe the training staff needed to be replaced and maybe not but it was always about the money with Trent. He didn't have the balls to say it and blamed others. :L

Have people finally realized that the only real way to replace TW adequately is to trade down from the 2nd pick?

If we don't trade down, we have to suck it up and give Trent a deal. Maybe the thing is to give him a new deal that's front-loaded - so he can say he's the highest paid O-lineman in the NFL. We have cap money this year, so we can afford it, and by front-loading - it won't hurt too much in future years.

If you don’t spend money this season, it carries over to next. Just because you can afford something, doesn’t mean you pay for it.

Trent Williams was declining prior to sitting out. Penn was fine last year.

Huh? Penn's obviously not the answer. He was way over the hill last year. Again, if they don't keep Trent, they need to trade down and pick a first round LT.

I agree. If TW wants 20 million or a trade, we trade him period. Gkekoa was right in that TW was declining prior to 2019.

I agree that the only way to address LT is by a high round draft pick via trade down. With that first 1st round pick, you take the best LT available. A talented LT is more important than an elite Edge rusher. A LT keeps your QB alive. IF Haskins is the QB of the future, you must protect him at all costs.

I think we trade TW to be honest for a 2nd round pick. I like him but he is declining and not worth the money. We need to cut a deal with Miami....that is our only hope I feel.

I count at least 5 LT's in this draft worthy of first or very early second round consideration. How about trading Williams to N.E.for their late first or another team for their top third of the second round. We can get a quality LT in this draft without trading down.

In fact, the reason why you don't keep Kerrigan is because there's a team that has expressed interest in him... Indianapolis. They have our second #32 and their own second #44. I believe that we can get one of those for him and parlay that into a quality "of need" player.

I agree he isn’t the answer, but neither is TW.
You dont force yourself into taking an inferior player. We have a lot of ones. Take the best player to fill them, which is Young.
