Don’t know if Liverpool would want him. He doesn’t do much.

I know Liverpool fans would be split on this but I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Our team play is undeniably better without him but he was still our best player when he left.

Lewandowski out for a month with a tibia injury. Going to miss Schalke, Hoffenheim, Augsburg, Union Berlin and second Chelsea games. This is bad. Now we are going to see what they are made of. Might lose the Bundesliga with this. No Coman or Perisic either although Coman injury only 5 days or so. I see them moving Davies to left wing maybe and Alaba back to left back, with Hernandez and Boateng in the middle. Gnabry will play center. Coman at right when he gets healthy. Could get ugly. Who else can play up front?

They going to give Fiete-Arp a shot lol?

Yeah this impacts their BuLi campaign badly. I’m not worried about that Chelsea match at home. They will beat Chelsea without RL9.

I don't about Fiete-Arp. The tough game will be the first one on the road at Hoffenheim. Schalke is a Pokal game so that could be a problem. Not so worried about Augsburg and Union Berlin. Chelsea all they to worry about is not lose by 4 goals. After that who knows. Fractured tibia it could be 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 12 weeks you never with an injury.

I expect Muller to maybe play striker. Gnabry in his usual spot, but then who if Coman can't go? Davies or Arp? Who else is there? Zirksee maybe? Or they can play a 4-4-2 with an additional midfielder. Muller and Gnabry with midfield being Coutinho Goretzka Thiago Kimmich. Davies is the wildcard. He was a left wing until he came to Bayern.

I would not be surprised if Zirkzee got some nods. I also assume Müller will be the fill in striker.

Best performance of the year until the fans fucked it up at the end. But back to game, it was clinical. No Lewandowski, no problem. May actually be good to play without Lewandowski for a bit.

So let me ask, and I hate doing this but why not?..... Is Bayern pretty much a sure thing against Schalke tomorrow? As a Schalke follower, I know we suck and are owned by Bayern, but.... Didn’t know if in Pokal teams play whacked lineups and rest players, or if they’re in it to win it.... -350 Bayern is looking good to me, which is why I ask... ;)

Not a sure thing at all. Now Boateng and Hernandez are out too for this game. So no Boateng, Hernandez, Sule, Lewandowski, Coman, Perisic today. Midfield is fine, but defense and front line could be shaky. Looks like Kimmich is going to play right back, so that means Kimmich, Pavard, Alaba, Davies...but if it goes extra time could be trouble with replacements in the back or front. Everyone needs to step up like last week against Hoffenheim. Best game of the year last week and only one without Lewandowski. We'll see.

I see Nubel is having a falling out at Schalke? May be benched today. He had another howler against Koln last week.

Game is on TV on ESPN Deportes or ESPNU at 11:45 out west here.

Bayern played a whacked lineup against Paderborn a couple weeks ago with only 3 at the back and it nearly cost. Shitshow it was. Only a late Lewandowski goal at the death saved them. Out of necessity Bayern may have to today. Zirksee started at striker against Hoffenheim, may happen again today. Odriozola will probably play some today or even Mai if game extended.

Yikes that was ugly...but I will take it with 6 key players injured. Anyways, past 2 tough games Hoffenheim and Shalke and they survived. Now Augsburg and Union Berlin. Should have Boateng back and Coman for those. Observations today:

1) Muller not a striker. Enough with that experiment.
2) Midfield pretty much clueless how to attack. Meant Gnabry pretty much nullified.
3) Now I see why Kimmich better at midfield. He was the star of game with his goal and at right back but Tolisso starting and Goretka too not much production from those two.
4) Defense was solid though minus Boateng, Sule, Hernandez.
5) Only one sub. I thought Hansi might use zero for this game. Thin roster meant starters were going the distance.

Ugly game as expected, but a win is a win and they move on in the Pokal. I will take it. Happy that one is over. Knew it was going to be trouble. Luckily Schalke brutal in the attack overall and possession.

Love Müller but he simply is not a striker, as you mentioned. Considering the injuries, this was a good win. FCB had 80% possession and Schalke parked the bus. Kimmich continues to show how versatile he is.

Possession like the Guardiola days lol. Kimmich has been big in the last 2 games without Lewey. A goal in each game. He actually played center back today. Never seen him play that. I agree with you he is quite versatile. That is why Lowe loves him with the German National Team too. Next two are Augsburg and Union Berlin. I would think Zirksee back at striker now for the next two games.

So, I didn’t get to sports book in time to place bet.. oh well.... Was going to do this game and then let it ride on the Penguins (Also a winner...).

So instead, I put it on Leicester today vs Birmingham and sweated it out until a goal in the 82nd minute.... whew...

Thinking of going Avalanche tonight at home vs Ducks to replicate what I wanted to do yesterday.... :D

Anyway, not trying to gum up the Bundesliga thread with degenerate stuff.... Apologies all....
