I think he was there. Diana Taurasi made a joke directed at him and looked over at a section where I assume he was sitting, but the camera didn't pan over.

I heard or read something about him not wanting to be on camera.

Oh, I agree. In fact, what I heard or read about him not wanting to be on camera was because someone had been criticizing him for it and someone else was questioning why they would criticize him for that.

Some people prefer to grieve privately.
