Does anyone have any preference for speakers? I'm not a tech guy but one of my bose speakers I have had for 6 years is making a slight buzzing sound when I turn up the volume. I would like a two speaker wireless set with good base. Maybe even base and treble controls and must have a headphone jack.
Thank you for any advise in advance.

I've used a variety of speakers over the years hooked up to various computers for music/movies. Generally speaking (no pun intended) , a 2.1 system (2 + sub-woofer) will give you better sound/bass quality. I doubt you'll find any of those with a headphone jack, because in those systems the electronic portions are located in the sub-woofer, with the two speakers being "satellites".

I bought these speakers a few years ago, they might be adequate for your needs:

I normally don't listen to music very loud, but these gave me the impression they could play much louder than I was listening. I have them inside a wooden cabinet in my kitchen, so I have the treble/bass control turned most of the way to the treble side.
