Spieth "tanked" again this weekend. Will he turn things around?

Spieth had two great years but now is just average.

Yeah, he really has fallen off hasn't he? Gone from the next top golfer to a bit of an also ran as of late.

He's still pretty young so sure he can find it again, but I think he got off kilter trying to hit it further to keep up with his buddy Justin Thomas and others.

He rode a good iron game, hot putter and good short game a long way. But with Keopka and a lot of these younger guys taking it much deeper off the tee...he felt he needed to respond I guess.

He's fallen off a cliff. That's golf for ya. With that said, you did mention he is still young so he can turn it around, the problem is there is now so much talent (younger) out there now.

Victor Hovland could become something

Spieth...Once you fall out of the WGC events and that "no cut gravy" money goes away, you can free fall down the money list if you're struggling like he is.

Right now in 8 starts he's 101 in the FedEx standings which is pretty much the official money list for the PGAT these days....2 top 10....but considering he makes a reported $30mil per in endorsements...he can afford the drop off for a while, but I'm sure it's eating at him.

Hovland...maybe. We've seen spurts from a lot of guys...speaking of Spieth, that started hot and they couldn't sustain it....Quite a few guys out there that can win now. I look a Hovland as one of them now, but winning an alternate event with a 70 on the final day doesn't make me think he's going to be anything special yet.

I think we should keep in mind that he's 26 and that the current depth of talent isn't the issue. He did his winning fairly recently against some very good fields. It would be unprecedented if he didn't bounce back somewhat, I believe. I can't think of any parallels.

Is Jordan Spieth "done?"

Don't get me wrong he still Is a great golfer but he is trending in the wrong direction, so is his days of dominance over? Was/is he an overhyped Tiger Woods?
I was thinking the same thing this morning and thinking, even if my career flamed out so soon like he did I'd take it with no questions asked. 3 Majors and becoming a multi-millionaire is nothing to sneeze at.

Absolutely correct. And he's still playing and making more money in one tournament than I'd make in a year and a half!
