I think , barring a 1-3/0-4 finish, i cant see them worse than a 5. Now what would be interesting is a 3-1 type finish and a win or 2 in the B10 tourney.
Would a 23-10 Iowa with 11ish Q1 wins get a 3 seed? 10 losses is a lot for a 3 but with so many Q1 wins i think theyd have a shot

It's certainly attainable. UNC was a 2 seed in 2018, with a 25-10 record and with 12 Q1 wins. Biggest difference is their Non Con SOS was 8. Iowa's will be in the 190's. That might drop them a seed line lower than what their projected Q1 win total would be.

Damn Iowa can score. If I'm one of the top two seeds in each region, I'd hate to look at the bracket and see Iowa, Illinois, Creighton, Oregon, Texas Tech or Villinova in my bracket. Those look to be a real pain in the ass IMO. Maybe not "great" per se, but just the shits to have to play.

Northwestern is so incredibly bad. It's actually impressive.

It's going to be even more interesting after this week's games...most of these teams play the teams that are in the top half of the standings...so OSU, Rutgers, IU and Purdue could scrap their way back into it...and Maryland isn't a lock for #1 with their closing schedule...the balance of competition is either awesome or just a conference without a dominant team...depending on how you choose to see it.

I mean, I'd like him on the staff, but not sure as the headman. I do feel Gophers will in hunt for new coach. Pitino is a likeable guy, but coaches are judged won W/L and his B1G record is ~37% or something. I've been a Pitino supporter (more of don't change coaches every 3-4 years), but

I'd say it's a little of both.
It's not like every team in the middle is a Final 4 contender, far from it.
But at the same time, the balance is unbelievable. Almost every team is a tournament team and playing a tournament team on the road is tough.
For instance, I'd say if Gonzaga and SDSU played in this conference, they'd probably be right around 4 or 5 losses right now.

Lol. It's your overall record against the teams you're tied with. In the case of today PSU has the best record against the teams tied in 2nd. If there are only two teams tied in the standings it goes to head to head. After that it goes down to best win. It's why OSU gets the nod ahead of IU.
An Illinois win tonight, and I think MSU would move up to 2nd. Lol.

If I had to guess right now, if say MD, PSU, Wisconsin and Iowa are the teams that would finish 1-4. But man it's so tough to predict. I'd say Wisconsin probably has the best chance of getting 2nd.
