I've had a lot of people asking the question of whether the Broncos should do the same with Philip Lindsay. I would say no. Ekeler is the type of RB that this league is heading towards. They offer ability in both the pass and the run game, but lean towards making an impact in the pass game.

The reality is that in the run game there are only a handful of backs that do more than what a replacement level RB can do. IF you want a strong running game it has very little to do with the running back but much more to do with the OL. Would rather see that money put towards a RG than towards Lindsay. And I like Lindsay but it is just the reality of the NFL.

Say what you will about John Elway as a football operations jeffe, but one thing we can all agree upon is that every off season with Elway is interesting. Almost every year - he gets me to buy that used auto by shinning it up and adding some gizmos - runs like new.

This year, however has a new feel to it. Drew Lock as moved the center of gravity to building a team around the QB. My friends, it is no longer Ground Hog Day in Bronco Town. We laugh at your pandemic world.

Also I think Elway and Vic have a great working relationship.
Vic is more hands on this year in FA and the draft . Last year he we forming his staff, evaluating the team,
Building practice plans, a lot over overhead his first year.

Vic has a lot of pull. I understand he also told Elway he didn’t want the moneyball guy in his headset this year.

You can run data analytics from the back room.

Article predicting adios for Booker and Riddick. Another team is going to get a good deal when it signs Booker for cheap.

Agreed. Booker will be a steal for someone. Actually we are probably looking for another Booker. He blocks, he catches the ball, and is a capable runner.
