Lots of things can be pointed out, but regardless, its a pattern.
Hawks were a 15 win team.
If you are a top 4 team in EC you need to find ways to win vs excuses why you lost.
If it makes you feel any better, they beat the Clippers 2 weeks ago.

Shameful Shit.

Guy hasn't played much this year.

Gonna take time to get his sea legs.

Crowder?

He has no such excuse.

They just need to play better.

My problem with his post is I don't think any of us ever said Iggy is the "solution". All I remember saying is getting Iggy is better because his defense is solid and unlike Winslow, he was actually going to play basketball this season

So happy Philly has upcoming road games in Milwaukee & LA (both LA teams). Heat should be able to get a little breathing room from them during this team.

I was banking on this W from the start of the trip. Thought this and the Warriors were the 2 locks IMO. All they had to do was avoid going 0-6 or 1-5 and I would have been ok with this trip. Would have been fine with anything else but of course they go 1-5. Didn't help that they had to deal with injuries to Herro, Leonard, Jimmy, and only having 8 players in one of the games on this trip.

Just need to do what they have done all year long and continue to be a dominant home team. With the schedule the rest of season, I think they have 18-20 wins left in them

Yes.
Its not all gloom and doom.
Just sucks to come out of the All Star break and blow a late 4th qtr lead to a shitty team.

Just checked my posting history and never called him a solution. Said he would help the perimeter defense/the heat would stop playing zone which I still believe. Heat problem on defense is Nunn/Dragic and Robinson/Herro. Problem is they like playing 2 of those 4 late in games.

Best defensive lineup is probably Butler, Iggy, Crowder, Jones Jr, and Bam but hard to see Spo ever using this lineup because the lack of shooting. Going to have to find a way to hide the poor defenders when they're on the court.

I am really not sure Iggy is the best fit for this team.

The reason I say that is when he is playing alongside Jimmy and Bam, he is essentially getting minutes instead of an extra shooter. That could really hurt their floor spacing and general offensive flow. Although the ball movement should be really good.

Time well tell, but Spo going to have to figure out the best way to use him.

I heard yesterday that Philly has won a game on the road in the first half. But I see them turning it around in the second half and winning more on the road then they did in the 1st half. As for Irving shutting down for the season. He probably sees the Nets are a mess so why not save some wear and tear and just shut it down

I know it's frustrating to loss to a team with a record like the Hawks have...

... but they got Trae Young, and all it takes for any NBA team to be competitive these days is getting hot from 3... and any team can get hot from 3 on any given night...

The Hawks almost beat the C's a couple of times this year just by knocking down the 3... one or two plays go differently in those games, they would have won...

... that's regular season NBA. :noidea:

All that being said: Yeah, I'd be pissed if Boston lost to the Hawks too. ;)

The Nets aren't the problem. Irving's the problem. Nets do better when he doesn't play based on their record this season.

PHI has the 29th easiest schedule, based on opponents W/L%.
MIA 25th.
BOS 12th.

I think we will win one of those three games, which happens to be 3 of our 5 toughest games remaining.
I mean, one would have to think it's a matter of pride to shut up the naysayers and actually win a road game.

Right, Coach Brett????? Look up here when I'm talking to you!!!

I can't help but suspect that Philly just isn't living right when they go on the road...

... in other words, too many players are maybe staying out late... partying a little... "living the dream". That sort of thing.

It just doesn't make sense how bad they've been on the road otherwise.

Which might give 76ers fans hope... maybe when it's the playoffs, maybe they'll cut that sh!t out.

If that is what's going on, though, it does show a lack of leadership on the team.

It makes NO sense that a team can be 26-2 at home and 9-19 on the road. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like that.

I'm very curious to see what team shows up tomorrow.

Yeah... that's what led to my guess... and to make it clear, I'm only guessing... I don't know anything about it, nor have I heard... but there's got to be a reason.

I can't pinpoint it but the Sixers seem to have 2 type of road games. Games where they didn't show up(Heat, Hawks games) and then they have games where they seem to give up in the last 5 minutes. I'm not that concerned about the former. I am concerned about the latter.

There's also a learning curve for Iguodala too. He's playing in a completely different system than he's been used to for the last 5 years. He has different responsibilities on offense and defense now. He'll be a valuable piece, but it's only been a handful of games for him. It takes a while for guys to figure out where they're most beneficial, but Iguodala's basketball IQ is off the charts. He'll be fine come playoff time.

But, just like Free Agency, that's the players call to decide what's best for them.

You think LeBron, Jimmy Butler choose their teams simply based on best overall fit?

How about Wade signing with the Cavs when they already had a starting sg?

No.

Perk is simply crying because his demigod is at a position of weakness.

It makes me giggle with glee to see people crying in their cereal bowls every time someone outstacks the KING of roster stacking.

I know this is a foreign concept and I don't expect it to last very long.

But, some players actually prefer the Clippers.

Be it for bromance, front office grudges, anti-Lebron sentiment...

That's where we are today.

Now, if we don't win?

Oh boy....problems.

If we do?

It will be on Lebron's watch. Perk is just laying the foundation for excuses.

I could care less what he decides to do, as I don't really see him as an attractive add anyway. His defensive rating is even lower than Rondo's.
