If the players approve this, then they should dissolve the union.

As I said in the added playoff game topic, the NFLPA is trash and will probably fold but there's no fucking way they should take this. They need to take full advantage of the situation and push for FULLY guaranteed contracts and stuff like fighting for more health benefits for all players, especially rank and file that only play for a couple of years. They also shouldn't accept a 10 year deal. The NFL is gonna make a ton more cash when they renegotiate the TV deals in a couple of years. It's why the owners are pushing for extra games. If the players lock themselves into a percentage now, they'll miss out on opportunities down the road to get a piece of that larger pie.

The NFLPA has real leverage here for the first time in awhile. And they'll probably blow it.

I don't think anyone expects the NFLPA to really make any gains here, but it really depends if the players truly have been preparing for this day financially.

It's pretty clear the owners are looking at revenue growth via more games played and have thrown out a package that on the surface it sounds good, but when you start drilling down into it, the return on the extra game is pretty week.

"Billionaires are in a better position than millionaires. Do the players fold?"

This statement is the regular stupid hour when you consider most of the players aren't millionaires

the owners look greedy here and it's a fucking joke to say this is basically their best offer.
Negotiating. One side starts with a low offer , the other side comes back with a high offer and they meet somewhere in between.
