I don't know how Stephen F Austin isn't getting more credibility, they won AT Duke one of the most impressive wins of the year. Their losses are to Rutgers who's solidly in the tournament, Alabama who's on the bubble and they had one bad loss to Texas A&M something, one bad loss shouldn't outweigh that win. If SFA losses another before their conference tournament their argument might go away.

Northern Iowa has a lot of good wins, ETSU crushed LSU at LSU, it also sucks that Furman is not in the conversation because of an overtime loss to Auburn. The southern conference should be a multi-bid league

I don't think SFA is getting much discussion because they've been leading their league all season, so they've never had to be discussed as an at large because they've always been considered the "auto" bid.

I can see the So Con getting two teams in. But ETSU can't slip up until the So Con final IMO.

Virginia will probably be 23-10 on the season at best. At worst, Wright State will probably be 29-6. 6 more wins, 4 fewer losses.
Virginia is 457th in the country in points per game. Wright State is tied for 5th.
Virginia is 42nd in RPI while Wright State is 150th. I get that, believe me, I do. And I get how important that is to the tournament selection committee. I don't think that is deserving of a tournament spot over Wright State. Neither does NC State or Oklahoma or Florida. Sorry, but I hate the fact that P5 teams with double-digit losses get consideration over teams that won't even come close to double-digit losses. If Wright State doesn't win the Horizon Tournament, I believe they should be in as an At-Large over Virginia. I know the committee won't put Wright State in if they don't win the tournament, because that's how college basketball works, unfortunately.

Wright State isn't deserving at all. They're a bum team that has lost to five sub-100 teams and has zero top 100 wins.

Virginia has two bad losses, but they also have a win over a genuine top 20 team in Florida State.

If the day comes that a team like Wright State can make it in over a team like Virginia, then they need to burn down the NCAA tournament.

Virginia's resume isn't good this year and in a perfect world, they wouldn't be an NCAAT team if the tournament started tomorrow. With that said, in no way, shape or form should Wright State be considered on the same tier as Virginia.

If Wright State played in a down ACC this year, they would be competing with Miami and Wake Forest for the bottom.

Wright State is a trash squad. Sorry.

They won't put Wright State in because they will have no good wins and a bunch of bad losses. And just in general, they aren't any good. You want a team that has lost to Kent St, LaSalle, Indiana State, UIC and Green Bay to get an at large? It's absurd man.

agreed

the emotional hubris about mid-majors needs to stop. Adding trash mid-majors to the NCAAT will hurt one of the best sporting events in the world.

It's one thing to promote UNI, ETSU, UNCG and SFA, but it's a whole nother thing to promote Wright State, Delaware and Northern Kentucky. Lmao. Delaware is in the 180's in KenPom. Lol.

I actually like Wright St. Theyve got some nice players and it not a team id want to see as a 2 or 3 seed because they score it well enough where if youre off they can beat you.

That said tberes zero way they should get an at large

Not sure about Wright State specifically, but in general - I would prefer a Mid-Major that won their Regular Season Championship be chosen over a Power team with a losing conference record for an at-large team.

It really depends on the league. Like in the B10 this year you could easily have teams like OSU and Michigan finish under .500 but clearly be tourney teams . Teams in the B10 or BE this year may finish .500 or under but still be far more deserving. I could see a strong argument for not taking B12. P12, SEC or ACC teams under .500 this year though

Meh. Cannot finish at least .500 in the league doesn't warrant a chance at the NCAA Tournament IMO. That goes for all teams in all conferences. Just my opinion. I do agree with you on the strength of the B1G though. Super tough!

You’re not kidding. Worst half of the year.
Few probably preached all week about focusing on this game. And in typical 18-22 year old fashion, they treated him like we do the flight attendants when they are giving us the required safety speech before take off. They let it go in one ear and out the other. They were interested in the BYU game Saturday.

Good gawd that paint job on the Memphis court is hard to look at. I thought Oregon's was bad but if you walked out on this one you'd have to pull your pants down in order to let your ass laugh real loud!
