Anyone watch the Winners season which started tonight? Good group but I'm bummed they saddled them with even more gimmicks.

idk... gimmicks create more strategy sometimes... and it is nice to see more strategies... lets see if any are CHEATS like they have been before...

it is impressive that this show is still on after so many years. i am personally not a reality tv fan but this one has been one of the longest running.

nobody chooses to be a reality tv watcher... Problem is that they are the best water cooler talk shows... even if you no longer have a water cooler...

Good start.

It was amazing to watch Boston Rob work over Ben, who's no slouch himself, but Ben was in such awe of Rob that he crumbled at the first opportunity.

Also liked how Yul just admitted he had no idea how the game worked anymore, but folks were more than happy to work with him.

It's amazing that nobody would throw out a name for fear that it would get back to that person and then they would be the next target.

Honestly, several of the winners I don't even recognize from past seasons and I've watched them all.

The coins could make it interesting.
Selling immunity necklaces could produce very unexpected results like Natalie gifting one to Sandra.

I don't remember Danni at all. And Sophie seemed vaguely familiar and then I looked her up and know why it wasn't registering. She's cut and dyed her hair, going from long, stringy brown hair to short and blonde.

I kind of felt bad for amber... Not that she or any of these people deserve my pity... But she got the raw deal... she was targeted in the poker alliance, the married alliance, and the war path of Sandra and her IM MAD A ROB feelings...

She had no chance with this group... and she seemed to not be willing to fight... as if she was too good for it...

Loved the first ep. Got everyone involved.

Rob absolutely body bagging Ben showed why he’s a legend. Him and Parvati laughing at the tribe was great.

Tony was hilarious.

Seeing old faces again was great. Yul really looks like a major player again.

Hate all the twists but it is what it is at this point.

Tyson, Yul, Sophie, Danni have the best chances after 1 ep

Sandra has never been a "player" on the show. She a manipulator and gets other people to do the dirty work and stands back and hides. She set up Amber because she spent the past season on Island of the Idols with Boston Rob and he would not warm up to her because he knew that they would be on this show. She even said at the end of this past season that he wouldn't give her as much as a hint of any of his secrets, and you could tell by the tone of her voice that she was pissed.

If you watched the Island of the Idols, when a player was sent over and met Sandra and Rob, Sandra pretty much didn't say anything and was dead quiet when Rob talked to the person.

It shocks me how stupid that her tribe is. They all know that she's won twice and IF I was on that team, she would have been first to Isle of Extinction. Then again, if they don't get rid of her, they deserve to get screwed by her.

I'd love to see Sandra get sent to the Isle and have Amber send her sneaky ass home.

Post Ep 2 thoughts.

1. Unfortunately for almost everyone.......A Sophie win is looking really likely early on.
2. Tony is an absolute gem. Need him to keep finding a way to survive for at least a few more weeks. Tv gold.
3. Danni. Just awful. She was in absolutely no danger and got herself canned all on her own.
4. Rob and Parvati even if its short lived, what they are doing to keep the target off themselves is insane.
5. Like most I am not a Ben fan. I wanted Mike Holloway on this cast over him. But after two eps I am so glad hes on this season. The way Rob keeps backing him into a corner and burying him is making for great tv. A good season needs an erratic mess. Ben is that mess.

It was funny how easy Danni did herself in. Still, even though she made it easy for everyone, I feel like they should have just taken out Rob instead. His wife is already out so you'd basically be taking out that big chunk from the game. I guess they want to keep Rob around as a shield.

Yeah obviously taking out Rob or Parvati there would never really be a bad thing but at the same time keeping them has advantages.

The new school still has the numbers on that tribe with it being 5-3 and maybe even 6-2 if Ethan sees the writing on the wall and flips.

You know a swap is coming soon. Rob and Parvati are just as big of targets on the other side(heck the other side voted out his wife) those two will be desperate for solid allies come a swap. They could be perfect numbers for people like Adam and Denise if they are swapped away from Michelle and Jeremy for example.

Either way, loving that they are at least dominating for a couple rounds, better than I expected

Heck I’m not even sure they showed Nick in episode 2. I don’t remember seeing him at all. I actually liked Danni the season she played. She had an alliance with Gary Hogeboom an ex Dallas Cowboy. I always found it interesting that she supposedly recognized him that season. I’m a huge Dallas fan and have been for 40 years. I didn’t recognize him. It’s going to be a great season.

It made sense though. It breaks up whatever alliance they had while still keeping both Rob and Parv as big name shields for later. And it was a way to bitchslap Adam to let him know they know he's playing too hard

While I agree with that assessment, aren't the rest of them taking a risk that B-Rob and Parv will now take Adam in, which means they may be able to pull in Denise, and then take control back?
