Back to the fantastic predictions:

Eventually, Kostas will end up with the Bucks later in this or in the next season... (but I guess we all knew that in the first place)...

Yes. We all knew that!

“Sixers, at least this year without Durant in the equation, are the big favorites in the East.

Horford is a monster pickup for them and a perfect guy to pair with Embiid--- leadership wise, everything.

No one saw that coming.

Plus their, what? 5th best player will now be Josh Richardson?

PG: Simmons
SG: Richardson
SF: Harris
PF: Horford
C: Embiid

that is a big, athletic and talented team”

“I mean, Serge Ibaka is not even close ot being a guy who i think is anyhting close to a great player but he is absolutely better than Bam is---- Bam right now is getting his shit pushed in in this Raptors game.

Siakem- BETTER by a long a shot. Thats just big men on the Raptors- and thats if you consider Gasol is aging and Bam is young and not counting GAsol going forward

I look at the young big men in the East and you of course take a guy like Jarret Allen over Bam. John Collins WITHOUT A DOUBT. Myles Turner.

if you said- for the next 5 years take Bamba, Isaac or Bam- it would not even be close for me- i take Bamba and Isaac just for their ceilings.

Bam is a nice player- i hate to be ripping him, but you are fucking delusional.”

What exactly is wrong with this comment?

Can we start with ‘big favorites in the East’, and go from there?

To be fair this is really the main thing wrong with the comment. The rest is pretty solid. But it's a doozy.

I don’t think Horford has blended in like many thought he would.

I will say, I agree that if everything somehow is clicking for Philly when the playoffs start, I wouldn’t want to play them.

Especially in Philly.

The Sixers, and the Heat for that matter, are probably the two highest variance teams in the NBA, and certainly in the East. Either could lose in the first round, either could make the finals.

Sure. Wiggy made some whoppers certainly.

My point is that his prediction still isn't ridiculous. 538 still has the Sixers as the favorites to get to the finals..

2019-20 NBA Predictions

In Vegas, Bucks are -200 to win East.
Philly, Toronto, Heat and Celtics are all between +550 to +700.

because you had to give up substantial assets to sign a guy who you couldve gotten for nothing if Riley had any semblance of a clue how to run a team.

that- and i think Jimmy Butler is an ass clown on his 4th team in 5 years with a ton of miles on him who wears out his welcome. So....good luck with that.

If I were the Heat I would have just let all these guys expire in a year or two, and before Richardson, Winslow and Bam got their big raises, go out in the market and get some FA's and then use Bird Rights to resignWinslow/Richardson/Bam.

Now Richardson is gone, you are missing 2 first round picks, and you still have no cap space until 2 years from now when Jimmy Butler will be entering his age 32 and its universally agreed that hes had a lot more wear and tear put on him than the typical player for his age.

How can the Sixers make it to the finals if they'll end ranking 5th (or 4th), which seems to be the most possible scenario?

Perhaps their chances to make it to the ECF before they are blown by the Bucks are significantly better if they end up 6th.

I'm not arguing that the Sixers should be the favorite. I'm simply saying that of all the silly things that Wiggy has said, that really doesn't measure up to a whole lot.
