I'm leaning no but it all depends on if they have a guy or two that they just prefer to start in the minors. If it was based soley on performance I'd say no

Top 4 in the rotation is pretty much set. Some kind order of Sorok-Fried-Hamels-Folty.

The 5th spot will come down to Newcomb, Felix and prospects, and Newcomb is probably the favorite.

If Felix is willing to come out of the pen and fill the Josh Tomlin long relief role, I could see him making the opening day roster that way.

Felix probably be a bull pen guy for depth and a spot starter when needed.

I'll say yes but I don't think he ends the season with them...

It was sad watching him pitch in 2019. The only way I see him making the roster is if he suddenly reinvents himself, which he didn't seem willing to do with the Mariners.

Maybe going to an organization that won't be giving him the royal treatment - pun intended - will be a huge wake up call for him and he changes something, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Other players seem to be able to reinvent themselves after leaving the Mariners organization so it's definitely possible. We'll see I guess, but honestly I really couldn't care less if he makes the team or not. It was fun a fun run in Seattle for sure, and I appreciate what he did here, but now he's gone and it really doesn't matter to me what he does now.

I see where you're coming from, but I do really hope he figures something out. I always have a soft spot for former Mariners players and want them to do well. He gave us something to root for when we had nothing else and I'll always appreciate that.

Faced minor leaguers . If follow Braves news they are saying it is unlikely he makes team unless Hamels is out for longtime .

Don’t want to jump the gun, but he had another solid ST outing today.

That 5th rotation spot is wide open, and he’s made himself a contender for it early on

Great, he waits to leave the Mariners to get his shit together. Not surprised its the Mariner way. He will probably win a Cy Young and hit 10 homers.

You called it.

He's made a ton of money and the M's let him do what he wanted. No reason to change. This isn't surprising now that he's fighting for a spot.

This wouldnt be the least bit suprising. It was pretty evident he checked out the last couple of years. All it took was that photo of him posted above to see he was taking things more seriously this year

LOL. This interview is so typical of an interview with an athlete. They never answer the question asked. They never really say anything insightful.

Felix always had alot of natural talent. Natural intelligence, not so much.
