wrong

Oregon is in the top 20 ALL TIME in NC's combined.

you failed again

And all but 2 of them are Cross Country and Track titles, with alot of them being their cheating, winning an Indoor Track Title and then an Outdoor Track title in the same year? NOT impressed.

I actually watched most of that game. Oklahoma State scored with like a minute left or something to make it look closer. It's not SEC bias. Why would I have SEC bias? They played 4 top 8 teams. No G5 school is winning against that. I'm not even sure all those G5 schools would have been as competitive in those games either. And this is knowing A&M wasn't competitive in all of them. But App St lost to Georgia Southern so based on that, they could have easily lost to a Miss St and Oklahoma State. Navy lost by a million to ND, who was worse than all 5 of those teams. And didn't have a win as good as Oklahoma State. Same with Cincy, Air Force, Boise State and UCF.
Then if that's the case, why even rank G5 teams at all if you think they supposedly could lose to other P5 teams that they don't even play? A&M beat one team with a winning record all year. That's it. They also barely squeaked by a horrible (like, absolutely horrible) Arkansas team, a point you keep ignoring. And if we're playing this stupid hypotheticals game, Oklahoma State lost to 4-8 Texas Tech by 10, so any of those G5 teams could easily beat them.

Not a TAMU fan, but they were far better than their 8-5 record indicated last year - their losses where to @LSU, @Clemson, @UGA, Alabama (with Tua) and Auburn. Tell me which teams that played those 5 teams wouldn't have 5 losses.

If you look the teams that were ranked 15-25 last year, there is no question all 10 of them would have lost all 5 of those games.
That doesn't make them good, though. That's the point. How were they "far better" just because they proved they could lose to elite teams? Anyone can do that. The only "good" team they beat was Oklahoma State. Big deal, 4-8 Texas Tech beat them too, and by more points. That's not a top 25 resume.

People rank them because they rack up wins against a shitty schedule. Cincy barely beat USF and ECU. UCF lost to Pitt and Tulsa. Air Force beat Colorado State in OT and barely beat Army. Boise State had a bunch of close games against ad teams and lost by 24 to Washington of all teams. Sure those teams could have beaten Oklahoma State,(although I doubt any are favored) but I don't really know why it's so crazy to suggest they would lose the same 5 games A&M did?

And what do you call the wins A&M had? Again, they had one win against a team with a winning record. One win. I'm not saying those teams wouldn't lose the same 5 games A&M did. If they did, and they all only had one win over a team with a winning record, I'd laugh at the idea of them being ranked, too. Losing to good teams and only beating crappy ones doesn't make you a top 25 team. You still don't seem to get that.

They didn't have any good wins either(Oklahoma State being the best). Just like all those G5 teams. But they also didn't have losses to the likes of Tulsa, Pitt, Washington etc. Fwiw Sagarin and Massey both had them top 20.

To stop the Michigan Point a Minute Men. That was their nickname at the time because they averaged approximately a point a minute. Hello???

Look it up, Pudge Heffelfinger was one of Henry L William's asst coaches and the two of them put their heads together and came up with the 4 man backfield.

Ok so why did you need a 4 man backfield is the question?

Just for perspective...

Bama > Ohio St > Oklahoma > Notre Dame > USC > Nebraska > Michigan > Texas > Penn St > FSU > Tennessee >............. list another 10 teams.... >then Minnesota.

So what? I guarantee you those who won championships in those programs could care less if the NCAA sanctions them or not.
if most people here barely recognize the NCAA sanctioned olympic sports whey would they recognize the non NCAA sports and some of what you brought up arent even sports.
