Would you give up a full ride to the likes of Harvard, Yale and Columbia

I mean, if we was getting full rides to Ivy League schools, could he not get the same for Stanford and walk on there? Could still play P5 football and not sacrifice the education at all.

I barely got accepted to Valdosta State and didn’t stay long before I just decided to go to work, so I can’t speak from personal experience

None of that shows that he had a scholarship offer to go to an Ivy League school.
He had offers to Ivy League schools and as the article says they have ways of help paying for that shit. He also had offers from the likes of Georgetown University which does offer sports scholarships. Fact of the matter is he realized UW is so fvcking elite that he couldn't pass up the chance to play there as a walk-on.

‘It always has been home’: Why three-star recruits keep turning down scholarships to walk on at UW

So they have ways to help pay for college just like every other college in the United States. Wow. Again, he didn’t have a full ride scholarship to go to any Ivy League school.

He is a lifelong Husky fan.

If you weren't burdened with being a short, chubby, borderline retarded kid for life, wouldn't you have wanted your chance to play for Georgia?

I don’t know. I liked drugs when I was college aged.

I'd rather walk on at Kent State than attend either of those schools. Fuck that.

I knew someone in High School who had the option of Columbia football (when they had the longest losing streak in CFB). He was a great student and wanted to be a Dr. * Pre-Med @ Columbia is super primo. Turned it down though to play for the Man @ Grambling! Just depends on the person and their priorities at 18 I guess. Do not know what I would have done!

he had offers at Drake, Columbia, Georgetown and San Diego. not san diego state mind you.
so all like FCS.
so no real opportunity to play FBS level unless he walked on. not even group of 5
