Based on what? Their most impressive performance of the year was losing to Georgia by 6. They beat one team all year with a winning record, a come-from-behind win over a mediocre Oklahoma State team. They also barely survived against an absolutely horrible Arkansas team. There was no reason they should've finished ranked.

The teams they lost to were a combined 61-9. That's absurd. 3 ranked in the top 5, 4 in the top 10 and then another in the top 15. I think between the 5 teams that they lost to that group only lost 3 games outside of that group. 4 of those were elite teams. The schedule is much easier this year. They'll be a 9/10 win team this year.

Cool. You could give a ton of teams a schedule of 5 good-to-elite teams, 7 nobodies, and a mediocre team and they'd go 8-5. Who you lose to shouldn't make you a top 25 team.

Iowa at 10 is too high if yourr projecting final records . Iowa plays at OSU, at PSU, at Minnesots, ISU and Wisky. Thats 5 top 20 teams imo with 3 on the road. I like our talent level but this team could be better than last years 10-3 team and still only win 9/10 games which likely isnt a top 10 finish

Don't project records...scheduling is too uneven for that.

If you give a team outside the top 15 that schedule, most teams are going to lose 5 games. It's tough for a team considered in the 20-25 range to beat 4 top 10 teams. And a top 15 team. If they would have been able to play a team like Utah in the bowl game, they would have finished ranked after beating them.

I post this all the time yet it doesn't seem to sink in with some .. because they have trouble doing maff. Conferences that play a 9 game conference schedule are going to lose more games on average seeing how when two teams meet one is going to lose. It's the VERY reason chickenshit conferences such as the SEC refuse to play their own conference members.
