UGA has a good shot at winning it all imo with LSU losing so many guys and Bama finally starting to show holes. Florida though is going to be tough. They don't have UGA's talent but they have a decent amount of guys returning such as their QB.

Guess who was a HC in the PAC yet never won a conference championship.

This guy.

:harbs3:
But he wins games. Especially against 6 win teams. Boom. Roasted.

SP+ lost all its credibility once it moved to ESPN. :rip:
That was Bill Connelly .. ESPN grabbed him from Rivals and Rivals has never been the same since .. although I'll admit I could never understand half the shit Connelly was trying to explain with all those graphs he'd post.

It's all the same system he tweak over the years but with ESPN we only get the fluff
SP+ rankings after conference championship games

and not the good stuff
2018 COLLEGE FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE S/P+ RATINGS | Football Outsiders

S&P+ was unique because it gave us weird complicated stats which was interesting to me but now it's just a vague computer model just like the 100 others :pout:

Now to me that stuff looks like chinese. I more of a headlines guy myself. Something like 'Washington is going to win the PAC 12'. <--- I usually don't even bother to read the article after seeing a headline like that. I just post those fvckers all over this site and Facebook while taking a dig at Oregon.

So, you prefer fiction then.

Kirby seems like he's starting to be a younger version of Les Miles. Putting ALL the onus on the defense. Just observing from outside.

It was just one year where we had serious depth issues at receiver and an OC that was in over his head.

He just hired the guy who ran the top passing attack in the NFL to be the OC. Might be a bit of a transition year for the offense, but Kirby is at least attempting to modernize the offense

Well that is more than Les did. What's strange is Les' Kansas team looked a lot more modern offensively this year IMO. But he had Kansas talent doing it instead of LSU talent.

I still just get the hunch that Kirby is first and foremost about protecting his defense from being having to defend a long time and/or a short field. Kind of the anti Leach, Briles, etc type.

Les at one time had LSU as a pass happy offense, but he had that one QB who was a pick 6 machine and I think it shell shocked Les a bit
