I have mixed feelings on that.

But there isn’t.

and that particular dunk was the best of the entire night, IMO.

1 miss over the entire contest is not a big deal. But if somebody goes Nate Robinson and takes 8 tries to get it down, yeah, they should get penalized.

This year, I think all were completed by the 3rd attempt. Not too bad.
Jones Jr was clean after his first dunk.

Maybe eliminate scoring entirely.

Start with 4 players. All get 1 dunk.
When finished. Judges eliminate 1.

Repeat round 2.

That leaves 2 finalists.
Let each do 2 dunks.
Judges pick winner.

That would be a much better system.

Odd number of judges, each has to pick a winner.

Exactly
Video speaks for itself.

1. He propelled himself pushing the ball off of his head.

2. Falls needed to bend his neck down, then was clipped by Gordons knees which forced him bend down, probably near 2 feet.

Feel free to dispute any of that.
Let me know where to look on the video.

What you fail to understand is all I'm saying is you were wrong to say Gordon landed on Falls shoulders. How many more times do I have to say that before it will sink in? All I did was repeat what you said. Yet you insist on disagreeing.

Now if you wanna keep this topic going for no other reason than to tell yourself you're right that's fine. But Gordon never landed on Fall. Yet another fact you insist on ignoring.

And don't foget you switched up what you orignally said. From Gordon landing on Falls shoulders to him landing on his head. Now just get the last word in okay? Because you seemingly don't understand all I have done is repeat something you've said. Have a good day.

I corrected what I initially stated after rewatching the video.
I had forgot that Gordon didnt start with the ball in his hands because he needed a springboard.

Once elevated though, he still couldnt clear him which caused the chain reaction including his knees getting caught up in and wrapped around his neck and shoulders.

It was far from a clean dunk.
It was far from a perfect dunk.

If you feel it was a better dunk, whatever. Thats opinion.

All I know is there is literally zero doubt who had the best dunk of the night and it just so happens the same guy had the most 50 point dunks.

Which just proves how stupid the scoring was.
I thought Jones 2nd dunk was the best of the night, but it was close.

i think most would agree the dunk of the night was Gordon’s off the side of the backboard twisting windmill, but it’s subjective

Perhaps he should have saved it for a later round?

Why?

he got 50s for every dunk he did except Taco Fall.

And regardless of what you think about the Taco dunk, Jones from a step inside the FT line wasn’t on the same level as the rest of the dunks either player did.

Jones got a 46 for dunking over 6'9 Bam from a much further distance while Gordon got a 50 for jumping over a midget aka chance the rapper

Exactly, and although he did slightly push off his shoulder, it seemed much more like it was for balance then elevation help.

So you feel all the 50s were perfect dunks?
I call it poor judgeing.

Also, how many times did he dunk over chance like i'm supposed to be impressed by that? If I recall, he dunked over chance 3X last night and only 1 of those dunks were better than DJJ dunking over Bam IMO and all 3 of those got a 50.

I don't think either guy final dunk was that impressive. My biggest issue is the judges. They should have never agreed to give Gordon the same score as DJJ before the dunk even happened.

Yep and Bam was not even in the restricted area. Chance on the other hand was in the restricted area all 3X and right under the rim for 2 of the 3 dunks

I was more entertained by what Jones Jr did. Nothing to do with him being on the Heat.
If people liked Gordons dunks better, great.
