The Florida State-LSU series will kick off with the two schools playing at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La., on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022. The series will conclude the following season on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.

Mercedes-Benz Superdome

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome is established as a premier destination for every type of event, and the grand structure builds on that legacy continually. From the biggest, most elaborate productions that thrill thousands to memorable intimate gatherings, the Superdome adapts and captivates. Located in the heart of the New Orleans Central Business District, the Superdome is among the most enviable venues in the nation. And with a stunning spot on the New Orleans skyline and its iconic design, the Superdome is one of America’s most recognizable landmarks.
That stadium seats 74,000 vs LSU's stadium that seats over 102,000. LSU fans got fvcked right up the ass.

Mercedes Benz stadium is located in Atlanta, Georgia. Nowhere near Louisiana.

What if I told you Mercedes-Benz Stadium is located both in Atlanta and New Orleans?
Did you guys really expect Louisiana to come up with an original stadium name?

To be fair, they held the naming rights for the Superdome since 2011. They bought the naming rights for the Atlanta stadium in 2015.

The FSU game in Orlando is more important than the LSU game in New Orleans. FSU has always played games around the state in Tampa, Orlando, Jax, even Miami (against other teams). Really helps them with their brand, and Tallahassee is a pain to get to (from a State of Florida perspective) in a small town in the panhandle. So, probably the only way to get the Orlando game was to do the LSU game in New Orleans - which will be fun in and of itself! I actually like both games - especially since they will BOTH be marquee games to kickoff the season! Like @outofyourmind said, they will both have the feel of Bowl Games - not just ho-hum neutral games.
