Actually I was talking about Brady's legacy. Why would Brady want to go another team and tarnish his legacy?

My bad, the thread about Rivers, so I thought you were talking about him. I hope he retires in NE but he might feel like he has something to prove, maybe try and stick it up Belichicks ass,not sure? But like Center mentioned about Montana going to KC, or Jordan going to Washington as ancients, didn't tarnish their legacy. Honestly the guy is playing with house money at 43, what can really be expected?

Yeah you're right the thread is about Rivers. I was replying to comment #2, with my comment #26. :-)

Moving on to who? 95% of football fans forget LA even has a second team until they google why their team is playing some lightning bolt team that week.

I have no plans to cheer on the Chargers, but he may be able to do some shit there. It would be fun to see or he could just turn out like Montana did in KC.

Montana led KC to the AFC championship game. Brady would LOVE to get to that level with another team.

Rivers is currently a better QB than Brady. I think where he lands is much bigger news. Rivers can play...he just has issues against NE and KC. He could absolutely make the playoffs if he goes to the NFC or something like that

The problem with Rivers imo is he's no longer good enough to carry a team so he needs to go to a playoff caliber roster to make much of a difference. I.E...he's not taking DEN, CAR, JAX, TB or teams of that elk to the playoffs, he'll make them a little better, but won't put them in the dance.

Brady will absolutely outshine Rivers on the news stage assuming he signs anywhere aside from NE.

But this is a one year deal at best...it might not happen, but NE is probably the best 1 yr spot for Brady.

I guess we'll see. Brady has been in the best organization in sports and Rivers has been playing road games for two seasons straight.

I think they're value is closer than people think but the landing spot will make or break both.

Brady's brand is just so much bigger.

I agree that Rivers might the more substantial signing because he will probably play at least 2 years.

Also remembering there is a pretty good chance Dalton could be on the market...now I know he won't drive the market like Brady or Rivers will, but he and probably Bridgewater give these teams looking for a vet another option.

Teams probably interested in the services of a veteran starting QB.

LAC...I can see them taking a rookie high or making a splash for Brady.
MIA...(especially if they take Tua)
TN...maybe they saw some of the Tannehill's flaws
IND...Brissett will be retained, but they could be open
OAK/LV...Carr is not in stone for Gruden
CHI...Trubisky is coming back, but they must have a plan B
TB...Arians is open to another QB, but I think they will try to sign Winston
CAR...nothing in stone

These are teams most likely interested in a vet QB.

I think Andy Dalton is a top tier backup QB at this point with Case Keenum. Dalton is the type of QB that you could use to push someone like Winston, Trubisky or Newton without actually threatening those QBs in the media. Like Tennessee signing Tannehill.

Chargers are built to win now and they're blowing things up because they're in a position to get Tua or Justin Gilbert. Its the right move. There is no way they pick Brady with where they are in the draft and what they had with Rivers imo.

I think whoever goes to Indy is going to have a good season. Playoffs? Who knows with the Titans and Texans always winning 9-11 games.

TB is the other spot I think Rivers would succeed. Arians is a QB whisperer and while Rivers is turnover prone...he isn't Jameis Winston.

When you start breaking down the potential jobs, this topic gets more and more interesting.

Chargers...agree Tua or Gilbert are in play...if the choice is Tua, do they bring in a Dalton to back him up and manage the transition time to Tua starting?

IND...this job is off the radar but I can see Brady taking this gig for a year. More playoff ready than OAK/LV.

With probably 4 guys coming via the 1st rd of the draft, this will be a loaded QB market...Cam Newton you mentioned brings the potential vet QB market to as many as 6 guys.

We shall see.

Brady is definitely on the last hole but hasn't thrown more than 1 int in any games this season. Rivers has a 4 int game, 2 3 int games and multiple 2 int games this season

That's because he throws more than 5-10 yard passes like Brady lives off of....I think he would be a better stop gap qb than Brady in a new system right now, but I don't think Brady is gonna go anywhere without Josh or someone that will let him run his old system....He's just too old to change now IMO.....
Then again I don't think he's leaving NE unless it's for the couch...
