The Mavs are the only West team that the Bucks are watching and "count" for being among the obstacles that could challenge them from winning multiple NBA titles during the following decade...
The Mavs are a force to be reckoned with.

The bench has been maybe the strongest part of this team besides 77. And Carlisle does a terrific job of sensing who needs to be in there at the proper time. If I had one complaint about how he subs them in - I just don’t like Brunson in there at crunch time. Time and time again..... just not a point of the game where I sense confidence on his part.

I haven't seen a lot of the Navs and when I have, I've paid more attention to Luka and Zingers than anyone else.

Brunson is young and Carlisle isn't expected to get this team to the finals. Maybe he's playing him to see if he can develop into someone they can count on late?

The thing is... I really do like him as the 7th or 8th guy getting 15-18 minutes a game in places where he matches up well with other bench subs. It just seems like at crunch time he gets D’ed up by a little better skill set and forces things which end up as turnovers or basically poor decisions.

Brunson is the type of player that coaches inherently trust. He is smart, tough and he tends to make good decisions.

Don’t see him ever being more than a role player, but there should be a spot for him in an NBA rotation for many years to come.

Very fair assessment

Imo, you guys are describing a possible Derek Fisher type player. Not the biggest, not the most skilled, not the fastest...but as tlance said, smart, tough, tends to make good decisions.

Maybe Carlisle is seeing if he can do that in crunch time, but being young...he's struggling, but hopefully learning from it?

Of course, #24 should already be retired... but I digress

What a class move.

Sucks that I have to stop hating Mark Cuban now though.

Well... I had to stop hating Kobe after the 2011 Western Semis...

Sometimes, respect just has to be at the forefront. That’s what happened to me.

Why do you have to stop? Shark Tank still sucks, so you always have that. :suds:

Took the words out of my mouth - but actually - I have always thought as an owner - Cuban was a class act to his players

He's one of the best owners if not the best. The NBA needs personalities like him

They really do, although I thought the late Dr Jerry Buss treated his players well. Sterling was the worst
