Hainsey has been slightly better than expected actually, but what the hell was that? Hopefully soon it's a 20-23 year old defenseman learning from that mistake rather than Hainsey pulling that shit and going back to the bench to share his "veteran' experience.

Since 2014 nobody they have drafted after the first round has over 50 NHL points. Olofsson should change that sometime soon but that’s still a lot of fails.

It also didn’t take too long for that Jeff Skinner contract to look horrible, did it.

Not at all. It looked bad the second the ink dried.
About the only silver lining is half their forwards are FA's after this season, they might be able to fix some of their talent issues there.

Not ready to say the Skinner contract is terrible quite yet; he has a history of bad years and bouncing back, but it was probably a bad idea. They've got some cap space coming up in the offseason but they just don't have those cheap fillers that you need to have so you can attain/retain top end talent.

Bit different than my guys who are all cheap filler. No problem finding late round gems for the Sens, it's just a matter of paying them.
