JD is just not doing a very good job. Evan and the other apologists in the media can make excuses all they want.

Evan is on record as saying JD would have some explaining to do of we didn't get one of the top 3 3B available and we didn't. He doesn"t have the courage to come out and say that publicly in an article now.

I wish the Rangers were covered like the Cowboys are, where the media takes them to task when it is needed and sometimes when it isn't.

If this opt out was a bad move then I guess they all must be including Elvis'. No one in the local softball-tossing media called that a mistake.

The big mistake was the Rendon pursuit. JD looked like a fool with that one. Nothing else compares to it amd nothing else can make up for it. The way he approached the negotiations was just foolish.

Sometimes he reminds me of one of those rednecks who goes to first Monday trade days just so he can bargain and come home and brag about what a good deal he got. It doesn't matter what they got or how much they needed something else more. They just want to make a deal and have something to crow about.

I have no problem with playing Guzman at 1B so we can find out more about him. Then, I didn't have a problem with two of our young starters being allowed to win a spot in the rotation for the same reason. It is this hybrid approach that bothers me. Either rebuild another year or don't.

I didn't even have a problem putting Solak at 3B every day if they are too dumb to do something about the elephant at 2B.

I didn't care if they won right at 80 games in 2020. To me there is not much difference in winning 79 or 87. In fact, I would still rather win less this year if it means we are better in the future because we are not going anywhere this year.

Maybe JD will surprise us all with a trade that we like.

The rangers could’ve got either Ozuna or castellanos. Right now it looks puzzling. Feels like something is missing. Like they didn’t do enough.

That is the only one that really bothers me. That was a huge miss. Betts is that kind of player in the OF but as kelleyman said we need to have an extension. Talking about guy who had a 10 war a couple of years ago.

That is what I am hoping for as well since he did state that is how anyone else would be added and that it would not be a FA.

A trade is what I am afraid of, a desperation trade. Unless it is trading away Choo or the one who shall remain nameless, then a trade is probably a bad idea.

Agreed, Rendon would've been perfect this year and Castellanos would've been a good replacement for Choo next year at DH

The opt outs are nothing at all. So he opts out, maybe we have someone else at that point. No big deal at all.
If he has a Prince injury then it is a big deal. All the risk is on the club.

The one who remains nameless LMHO...does he have a trunk as an appendage?

Thats the reason for physicals, and Castellanos didn't have those sort of questions, plus only a 4 year deal, it would be a different story if it was a 7 year deal

Injuries happen outside of physicals. I wanted Castellanos but 2 opt outs, 4 years for really another DH and the best we could hope is he learns 1B. The one that hurts most is Rendon

That doesn't make sense. So you would be happier if he didn't have an opt out and had an injury? Injuries are a part of any deal.

Prince's injury should have prevented the deal to begin with.

Why didn't you mention you didn't want to go 4 years for him before JD failed to do so? It just makes it seem like once we didn't sign him that you decided then that you didn't want him for 4 years. Like since we didn't sign him you looked for a reason why we should not have done so in hindsight.

Why didn't you mention that weeks ago?

Why aren't you listening without your preconceived opinions of what I think?
I said I like him but the double opt out on a 4 year contract is absurd

Why don't you give your own diatribe a break? Lol
Sorry your heart got broke over Rendon
