Here is a video and the back and forth between the pilot and air traffic control for the crash.

Didn't find the news out until my plane landed in San Francisco. Shock throughout the plan as the news spread.

Devestating for him and his daughter to die. I remember seeing him play Rip Hamilton in a high school basketball game way back in the day in Philly.

Hypocrit works too.

Dickhead called another poster a idiot for saying he wasn't happy, nor sad, about his death.

But, a page later, has the AUDACITY to shit all over Kobe himself.

I never shat all over Kobe or even close, but I understand you are very in your feels right now.

That's not how news reporting works
As we saw today and every time there is a mass shooting/tragedy we watch the media and reporters run with the first thing they hear. It’s sad and pathetic. It amazes me that a celeb tabloid has become the best source for actual news

Best guess would be because they all know that is the last thing Kobe would have wanted.

Yeah, I heard that on the radio but you can also take a day off. People are depressed. Probably don’t wanna play or watch. The rescheduled games could prepare as Kobe memorials. No time now. Too much going on. Just a different point of view.

It's the nature of news. And yes it's the same with mass shootings and plane crashes, it's news and their job is to report the news. The thing some here are having trouble with is that they don't think any names should be released until the families are informed.

That's the way it should be, but if it's someone very famous it's not going to happen like that. That's just the world we live in.

My comment on the character thing...

Obviously I didn't know Kobe. My feeling is compared to other athletes, Kobe was probably a relatively decent human being. Still with first wife, took care of his kids.

Regardless, the reason he was beloved had nothing to do with his character. Basketball, and sport brings a lot of joy and meaning to certain people's lives. There's lots of good people who were reading the news who aren't basketball fans who kinda/sorta knew who Kobe was, and ... they don't care.

While that is sad that a sorta young-ish man and/or a 13 year old girl have died, indeed it is very sad, that happens every day across the globe. We're mourning because we lost someone who gave us so many moments in our life.

I literally watched the dude's whole career. He was a big part of my life. Another RIP...

Are you fucking high?

All of the families had yet to be notified.

But, hey...

As long as they got the scoop first, it's all to the good.
Kobe was/is Los Angeles!!!

I grew up in Southern California, I remember watching Kobe in the slam dunk contest... I remember collecting all the Lakers basketball cards, I remember how I wanted but couldn’t afford his first shoe... I still have his #8 jersey I got lucky I found at a garage sale around here somewhere... I remember messing around and shooting the Ball yelling “KOBE!” I still can’t believe this happened... idk, still at a loss of words. I hate the Lakers because I’m a Suns fan but he was always one of my favorite players because he helped introduce me to the game I’m very passionate about... idk still shocked

RIP Kobe

You said he wasn't a good human being hours after his death.

You felt the need to bring up Colorado, hours after his death.

You think it's okay for the News to put this Shit out BEFORE the families were notified.

I understand why you take pleasure in being a situational troll.

So do I.

But, you aren't trolling. You are simply a piece of Shit human being.

I'm not gonna go back and forth with this anymore. I'm not going to hijack the thread because this isn't about me.

I'll just end it by saying I hope you drown in a boiling bucket of your own piss.

Now, that's me being in my feelings.

Listen people, I have been critical of some of the things he did younger in life. By all accounts though it seems like he turned out to be a really good person who was doing a lot with his fame and fortune. You are entitled to your opinion if you feel differently, but now is not the time. Show some class whether you have it or not.

Agree.

His past makes him a divisive subject.

We all have our opinions on his innocence or guilt.

But, maybe try to be a decent enough human being to at least wait until his body cools before you tear him down?

I mean, even Michael Jackson got that kind of courtesy most places.

Nope, I never said anything close to him not being a good human being. I pushed back on the person who declared him the GOAT human being.

A lot of people very in their feelings today, clearly. I haven't disrespected Kobe one little bit.

You might be getting a little carried away, but again, I understand it

Yeah, I probably would have gotten a better response had I said this more maturely.
