The way the Denver Nuggets develop and blend new talent is really being done well. Michael Porter - for instance - the got him up to 20 minutes a game - hit for a double double (the Nuggs were one rebound away from having 4 double, double players last night). You can actually see Michael Porter rising to one coaching challenge after another. Get your assists up - he gets his assists up. Get your steals up - he gets his steals up. Now they are working with him on offensive rebounding. Porter is learning his craft and gaining the respect of his teammates. Congrats to the Nuggets on their approach. Bol Bol will be there soon - coming attraction.

It will be interesting - as it appears Porter is proving himself and by the playoffs - he could be the plot twist the competition can't figure out how to stop.

@Mingo, if you mean by Bol Bol coming soon as in next year, I agree. But if u mean he will be even playing this year, you are on your own there.

I know a lot of people have questioned how the Nuggets have gone about bringing him along but to me they have done a nice job. The goal should be to have him 100% a go for the playoffs. Him not playing for two straight years always meant the process of getting him back on the court was going to take some time. Injuries to the team now force a bit of a sped up process but he seems fine handling it. Nuggets might have lucked into a true star.

How crazy would it be for two players from the University of Missouri to be what spurs on greatness for Denver sports?!

Note to reading classs - I was posting in praise of working Porter in slowly and wisely - and yet you think there is a percentage possibility that I am them suggesting to rush Bol Bol onto the court? No wonder all those people in Colorado Springs carry knives.

The Nuggets are finding out which player combinations work the best against which challenges. I think they are experimenting with combinations and when the playoffs come -then can play match up basketball - that's how they win.
