Funny thing is, they could trade back and would likely be in great position to grab Justin Fields next year. He's not from Ohio, but we definitely love him here. But they will take Burrow basically guaranteed. I just hope they don't waste his talent by surrounding him with shit and expecting him to elevate the team by himself.
Similar position to Browns in 2016 who passed on Wentz for a ransom, with thought of getting QB in QB heavy 2018 draft.

All comes down to how they rate Burrow obviously. If they think more highly of him than the Browns did Wentz I think bird in the hand at QB? Gotta take him. If you are confident there's a better one next year? Maybe hold off.

did it work out for Browns? Hard to say with Wentz' injuries as I'm sure that was one of their concerns coming out of college. Think it comes down to Baker. If he's a franchise guy it worked. If not (and Wentz stops getting hurt? They blew it.

I have to be honest, I always hate when people think if a guy succeeds in one place, it automatically means he's elite and could succeed anywhere. Philly, for the most part, has been an extremely talented and well-coached team during Wentz' time there. The same can definitely not be said for Cleveland outside of parts of 2018.

Not to knock Wentz, but I would still take Baker. I can't wait to see what he does with a guy like Stefanski who just led the Vikings to a top 10 scoring offense this year. I'll be more interested to see who leads the defense and how they get along.

Or an offensive line that can keep him up right so he can get the ball out of his hands.
I watched a fair amount of Browns games this year, he loves Laundry and counts on him a lot, OJB on the other hand is a half ass route runner so Baker has no serious trust in him, ( then again his off the field stuff should make everyone not trust the guy)

Yeah, I'm not a fan of that trade at all anymore. We really could've used Zeitler and that first round pick from 2019, and we really didn't need a true #1 like OBJ, regardless of his talent. Landry, Higgins, and Perriman would've been more than enough with Chubb and Kareem Hunt also in the fold. We'll see what happens this year, maybe he bounces back, but we're definitely going to be investing highly in offensive linemen in the draft. Probably 3-4 of our picks will be OT/OG.

I don't even think Baker has to be as talented as Wentz to make this a good deal for the Browns (while also good for Philly) because of everything else they received.

I'm not a fan of it (never loved it, but was OK at the time)....to be fair even though the deal was made at the same time they were 2 seperate deals (combined into 1 I assume to make things easier).

Think it was a 1st, 3rd, Peppers for OBJ. Yeah...still bad. AND we let Perriman out of his deal with us.

Unreal the so-called football guy was such a disaster when it came to the O-line.

Yeah the OL was a disaster. I'm sort of glad the year went poorly so they can invest a high pick in an elite OT prospect. They need it badly. I'm not sure what's going to happen with OBJ in Cleveland. New GM and new HC, might hope for a big bounceback year and try and deal him next offseason. They don't need him, and never really did.

I'd have rather the season had gone as we hoped (maybe 9-10 wins), but between, say, 8-8 and Freddie staying or what happened I agree....rather be 6-10 and get that top 10 pick with the regime change.

I could see new regime dealing him, but not sure they want to sell low which they'd be doing.

Wont know until they play but Callahan seems like a great hire for OL

7 guys that have raised their draft stock this week at the senior bowl ( I should say 6 guys they list a kicker)

2020 Senior Bowl: Top 7 NFL draft winners from week of practice

Michael Pittman is now a scratch from the game due to an injury ( Dear Eagles please note another Wide Out from SC that can't stay on the field due to injuries.
