Earth killing boomer to fleeting attention nose picker.....

I got the best years, you got smart phones and global warming.....

Not that I feel good about any of that since I have children probably your age (40?), but it is a fact.

Even though our back to back trips ended it utter pain, it's cool that fans put it so high as one of the best Super Bowls ... It was a great game, close the entire way, with a crazy exciting finish that ripped my soul out and stepped on it repeatedly and then laughed and poked my eyes out...

One of my all time favorites was Denver finally getting over the hump and getting Elway that elusive championship and Denvers first title back in 1998... I think the NFC had won like 14 titles in a row and nobody was giving the Broncos a shot vs the Pack... That game was epically good, close the entire way...

Certainly the John Elway game belongs but I would put it lower than others. Like the Steelers/Cardinals game for example. Harrisons run, the last second win by the Steelers, the comeback by the Cardinals to pull ahead for the seeming win. Lots of excitement.

10. Patriots v Panthers. Slow first half, fun 2nd half. Panthers kicker had an awful kickoff. Good game.
9. Rams v Titans. Meh game with the best finish.
8. Patriots v Falcons. More of a meme than a football game. Brady's best win.
7. Eagles v Patriots. Arena league game that was decided on a lot of fun plays.
6. Patriots v Rams (01) Massive underdogs pulling off the upset. Little did we know...
5. Broncos v Packers. Major underdogs pulling off the upset. Good game.
4. Patriots v Seahawks. Elite on Elite and came down to the wire.
3. Saints v Colts. Elite on Elite. Saints won with an onside kick and a pick 6 on Peyton. Fun game
2. Giants v Patriots (07). Helmet catch. 18-1.
1. Steelers v Cardinals. Larry Fitz, Harrison, and Ben/Holmes having iconic plays.

I'm with you guys on that Steelers/Cards game. I hated that the Steelers won but that game was fantastic. I'm even more disappointed by the outcome now because Fitz never got another chance. The dude was awesome the entire play-off run that year.
All the other ones are subjective as for best or not. While I realize the significance of the Giants ruining the Patriots perfect season, the game itself was kinda boring for me and only had the excitement at the end that was largely fluke. That's just how I felt about it though. Pats/Seahawks was a great game that really gets overshadowed by all the idiotic talk about the way it ended.

In regards to saying Rams-Titans had the best finish. I don't think anything will ever top that Patriots-Seahawks finish. The ridiculous catch by Kearse down the field that setups up the Seahawks in a goalline. The game is there for the Seahawks to take, under 29 seconds left in the game and they are one yard away from winning their second straight Super Bowl and to do it over Brady and the Patriots. Then the most improbable interception in the history of the league happens. Instead of a Seahawks dynasty it kicked off the 2nd Patriots dynasty/2nd half of their dynasty.

Rams/Titans was an all time great but I think the interception there to win the game is better than being tackled just a few yards short.

I can see that. I do have that game ranked 5 spots ahead so I guess I agree.

I don't think it has any dynasty implications, though. Wilson inherited a team that was a QB away and he exceeded everyone's expectations on a rookie contract while the team ran Beastmode into the ground behind a suspect oline. That team always had a time limit (although Wilson will most likely have another 1-3 Super Bowls in him if I had to guess)

Patriots also wouldn't have gone anywhere if they lost. AFC had a weak period where it was just the Pats and Steelers and the Pats owned the Steelers and Steelers owned the Chiefs.

Every game in my top 8 is a 10/10 football game imo

That would have been 2 Super Bowls and then they would have just needed to win another to get that dynasty label.

Plus the way they ended up losing that game with passing the ball instead of just letting Lynch run it again did some damage to that locker room. Players believing the coaching staff purposely didn't want Lynch to get the game winning TD, players starting to say Russell Wilson wasn't black enough. All sorts of hostility started to grow and divide that team due to how they lost that game that might not have spilled over the way it did and fractured the team the way it did had they gone on to win their repeat SB.

This list is for millennials. Let's just ignore everything before 1997 or so

Don't worry, we can make another thread for us older guys. I'm only 40, so I'll call myself older instead of old.
