1. No one is looking to steal him.

2. He doesn’t want to be anywhere else.

3. His coaching staff just got gutted and he lost a once in generation type QB.

Auburn’s AD department approves this move because they equally as stupid.

It's not like Coach O was looking to go somewhere else. He hit his peak, he can get 8 wins every season and it doesn't matter, no pressure at all.

Didn't work for Miles so I think you grossly underestimate the expectations and patience of the LSU fanbase. He can't consistently have 8 win seasons and keep his job...not even close.

Coach O is LSU.

They are simply paying him what he deserved after this year.

Pretty sure every fan on here that hasn't won a Natty in their lifetime would give a coach a 10 year contract to get just one.

What Coach O and LSU proved this year, is that they will go out and get the coaches to surround him, pay them, and then let them run their show the way they want to run their show. Every wannabe coordinator would love to have that kind of guy over them giving them that freedom.

LSU will get more great coaches to surround Coach O. And lets not say Ed Orgeron is a poor coach either. He is a people person with solid background on the defensive side of the ball. He is also a sensational recruiter and a 'bridge' of uniting people.

He may not speak your language, or seem 'intelligent' to you; but when all is said an done, he coached one of the best teams college football has ever seen.

Honestly, I am first to complain about how much someone is paid. I think Ed O is owed for the salary he had pre title. I’m cool with it.
