O'Korn, Speight and Peters combo of awfulness.

Yes, in 2019 our defense was worse than 2018. We lost a hell of a lot of defensive talent in that gap. This year we actually gain a lot coming back. Biggest concern is DT, but that was also a concern this year.
Kind of crazy how every single quarterback Harbaugh has had at Michigan has been awful. It’s almost like he’s a horrible quarterback coach.

It is certainly perplexing. Though I think Rudock was better than expected and Speight was going in the right direction before his injuries. I think really Peters is his biggest mistake. NOt sure what happened there. That's why I'm really interested to see what happens this year. We'll know the answer. 3 four star QB's on the roster, all will have at least a year in the program. So if they all suck, then we'll know there's a serious problem with QB development.

So Ruddock, who was developed by another coach for 4 years, was the best QB at Michigan for Harbaugh?

Probably. We've really only had two others; Speight and Shea. And Shea started developing under another coach, Speight got injured. If Speight is healthy, I'm not sure Peters ever sees the field here.

So what'll be the excuse a year from now after michigan fails to win the division/conference again? Every single player there is a Harbaugh recruit, so that's out. He has three 4* QBs with experience in the program, so that's out. The rebuilding excuse would apply if he built anything to begin with, but he hasn't. I'm just wondering when the mystique is finally going to be completely gone for this guy in your fanbase.

I'm not holding us to a division title next year. But I'll say if OSU nukes us again, we can't compete in the biggest games and lose a bowl game, I'm going to have a hard time supporting Harbaugh after that. My hope is that we go into the OSU game with a shot at the division and, at minimum, that game is competitive. I want to see more seasons like 2016 and less like 2017.

I'd be impressed if Harbaugh can keep that game competitive. If we're healthy, there's a chance we're an even better team in 2020 than 2019.

I'd also be impressed if you were still in contention for the division at that point with your conference slate. Having to face Wisconsin and Minnesota as your crossover games are not going to be easy to go along with Penn State and OSU.

Well that's irrelevant. michigan beat the patsies on their schedule and you didn't. Unfortunately, michigan had 5 top 15 teams on their schedule while Washington had 1, so I think that's a lot more indicative of why their seasons went the way they went.
who are you talking to? im not a washington fan at all.

No one can compete with 4* recruits. If you aren’t 5 or 6* at your starters and 2 deep there is nothing Harbaugh can do.

You were trying to bring up the bottoms of Washington's and michigan's schedule, to which I said it was irrelevant.

Not many coaches can do anything without multiple 7* players, tbh

Explains why Dantonio can’t do much neck deep in 1/4 stars.
I think you could give Dantonio the offensive weapons from Ohio State and he'd have a mid-range offense in the B1G. It's like someone smacked him with a shovel and he thinks he woke up in 1952.

Don't worry. I hear Danotnio is going to shuffle the roster around this time. Offensive guys playing defense and defensive guys playing offense.

Mid-range offense was good enough to get us to the playoffs in 2015.
