It all balances out, my friend. The Flyers back in the 2009-10 season made the playoffs in the Eastern Conference with 88 points. The Flames with 90 points in the Western Conference did not. Those same Flyers got hot and made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals where they lost to the Hawks.

Jackets are WC1. If they were in the Atlantic they'd be second.

They'd be second in the Central also.

They'd be leading the Pacific.

It parody - get it right. And it's fabricated parody to boot with the silly some games worth 3 points and some games worth 2 points.

Seriously? Do you know the scrutiny and hatred people face when they accuse a mascot of abuse? Then even if its brought to trial the mascot rarely gets a serious punishment. Remember The People Versus The San Diego Chicken? Even though he/she/it was found guilty on all 14 counts, the jury was so amused by him/her/it that they suspended the entire sentence.

All the hugs on the courthouse steps were sickening. This isn't a photo-op for you Kevin Costner, there were real victims who suffer to this day

Careful, he might be armed!
Also, how are they even going to find handcuffs that fit?

Columbus has been really coming on as of late. Could be a team to watch in the 2nd half.

I didn't watch the all star game, what did you guys think about it? If you ask me the format should change. Should go back to standard East vs. West.

I was always partial to North America vs. The World.

Doing the All Star game 3 on 3 is kind of fun for hardcore fans because we we get to see players with a lot more open ice than normal. But for casual fans who see it and think, hey I might watch that, then they tune into a regular game and it's nothing at all like the ASG. I want to go back to five on five.

The 5x5 ASG format bore little resemblance to a regular game, though :noidea:

It's at least a little closer for the casual fan.

I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed the stupid shooting from the platform event.

And the NHL needs to keep going with the women's involvement. My son's team played both nights during the festivities but the five girls on his team were right on their phones after the game Friday to watch the women's game. Let the women compete in more skills events.

I thought this kid was going to be a good one but his skating is pretty horrible. And it doesn't even seem to have improved since his draft. Likely bust unless that shows marked improvement.

both the Flames and Oilers are bringing in some big bodies into the line-up for the rematch.
Though the Flames guy is more of a scorer (6'6, 225lbs Buddy Robinson. 16 goals, 30 points in 40 AHL games, vs 54 PIMs)
Oilers bringing in Khaira (6'4, 212lbs, shall we say less of a scorer)

I have a feeling that it's much ado about nothing, the bottom line is that there are a big two points (or possibly three if OT is required) with the Pacific Division as jam packed as it is. I mean, Kassian was sitting in the box when the Flames scored the GWG, I would love a repeat performance on Wednesday night.

LOL at Buddy Robinson.

Not good. Not tough. Just big.
