Saw where 4 teams were interested in Fernando Rodney. Just hope 1 of them is not the Rangers. That guy is a game just waiting to be blown.

NoQuestion Would you trade for Arenado and take on full contract and give away Jung Huff,Solak and one of our top AAA pitchers as suggested in article?
If he did not opt out of the contract I would have to think about it as there would be no place for Jung and quite possibly Solak and I am okay losing 1 pitcher. Huff is the part where I have to think about it. But if Arenado can do for us something to the equivalent of what Beltre could do it could really add to our offense of Gallo, Santana, Calhoun, Choo and even Andrus as I think he can bounce back and definitely upgrade our defense.Question Would you trade for Arenado and take on full contract and give away Jung Huff,Solak and one of our top AAA pitchers as suggested in article?
How much difference can he make with an ageing SS, terrible 2b and 1b? I am not sure at this point if he will be worth giving up Huff and Solak until we beef up the infield. If JD can do something to improve the defense (IF) then I'm for it but we'll see.If he did not opt out of the contract I would have to think about it as there would be no place for Jung and quite possibly Solak and I am okay losing 1 pitcher. no but I would come up with a counter offer that would be good for both teams. it might require more pieces from usQuestion Would you trade for Arenado and take on full contract and give away Jung Huff,Solak and one of our top AAA pitchers as suggested in article?

Elvis will be 31 and will be fine. He is not spectacular in how much ground he can cover but hit 275 and committed 13 errors which is less than most years he has played. So I am not that down on him. And if you are waiting for 2nd base to change then you will need to go on a 4 year plan and giving up Solak is not a killer to me if it meant having Arenado. The opt is the key to me as well.Definitely if the opt out is cancelled
No if it’s only for 2 years

I don't want JD to get really stupid but I do think he can get the deal doneArenado is not coming here unless JD gets really stupid.

Difference is Arenado is a gold glover and Castellanos is far from it.Rockies are said to not want a bunch of prospects that are 3-4 years out they want players who are ready now or in the next year or so at the outside, that would really screw the Rangers.
Arenado is great at home and decent on the road where as Castellanos was pretty much the same both on the road and at home, and is much cheaper and we keep the younguns win, win... Sign Castellanos RHed bat and see where that takes us this year, that would help fill out the lineup almost as well.
Good luck on the odor angle.No.
If they want a 2B they can have Odor. If they want a catcher they can have their choice of Trevino or Garcia. If they want a starting pitcher they can have one of ours who is under contract for a year or two. I think some overrate Taveras and Tejeda so they can have them.
