Dolphins interested in Burrow

So says Florio over at Profootballtalk.... Interesting because of all the draft capital the Dolphins possess.

I put the chances at less than 2 percent that the Bengals could be swayed, but just for fun what would it take for you to move the pick. Here's an article looking at all the Dolphins draft picks.

They didn't even show the Dolphins 1st round pick from the Steelers for Minkah.

Probably have to take the Dolphins 3 1st round picks this year and their earliest 2nd, and then we draft Tua #5 overall.

It would be profoundly stupid for the Dolphins to give up multiple first round picks this year and then a first round pick next year. But if they are stupid enough to do it, I think you trade and then roll the dice with Tua. This time last year most people were talking about Tua as a generational type of talent..... Granted, if he comes to Cincy you can be sure that his hip will never heal, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

The best part about the Bengals having multiple first and second round picks would be 4 years from now when Hobs is explaining to the fanbase why we can't re-sign our own.

There would definitely be at least 2 guys that were asked to play out of position and 1 guy (Tua?) that may or may not come back from injury.

I will go buy a #9 Burrow jersey if we select him. If we don't, I might watch games this year, not sure yet. We need a franchise QB who takes us to that next level. Burrow may not wind up being that, but we have to take that chance. This many teams that want him, you gamble and say hey, screw it, we are sitting pat and taking the consensus best player in the draft to lead our team. If he doesn't pan out, he doesn't pan out, but you don't want to see him succeed somewhere else and say, son of a bitch, he could have been our QB.

The Bengals are just going to out-think themselves on this one. Watch. I can feel it happening.

They'll trade out, draft Tua - end up with nothing for years because Tua will get tackled and have a hip problem the rest of his career. WHO-DEY!

It wouldn't surprise me. Sitting at 1, with the chance to select the consensus top qb in the draft when a qb is what you need.... the prospect just happens to be from Ohio.... a chance to put some butts in the seat of an empty stadium. This should be an easy decision, but this is the Bengals.
