AR is up there in age and hasn’t had a great Oline for years. The Packers simply faced a really good defense. Give credit to the 49ers.

Packers beating the Seahawks is irrelevant to what I'm talking about. It's his overall body of work in the playoffs and constant failures of getting the team into the SB but yet never his fault. Yes, Niners D stone walled them.

Oh I don’t think AR is now what he was but his Oline hasn’t been great either. You talked about regular season he had and I mentioned Russ as well. AR was a great QB at one time but tough to judge now at 37 and not a great Oline at all. Brady’s Oline wasn’t great either. Russ had a shitty one prior to last year as well. A big reason why these QBs have good years and not so good years

Rodgers had six good years of high performance. In this era, that's nowhere near enough.

I will say and I said it then on other boards. Rodgers was not good at coming back after being down multiple possessions in a game. That could be a reflection of his defense, but he just could not come back and beat an actual well-coached team. The Giants and 49ers showed this, as well as regular-season blowouts by Arizona and Dallas.

Those were warning signs about his ability to win in the long run.

I always thought Rodgers was the top QB, but that was because of how he could thread the needle in games he had control in. The MNF game against Atlanta for one.

However, while there was the argument for offensive line and no weapons, the old Rodgers would have done something. Rodgers just is not a great QB when battle-tested. He may not be a great QB anymore. He used to be the best and looking back it was a phase. He's now not the most sought after thing since sliced bread anymore and there is a QB that is.
