Even if he has a shitty game in the SB, he still had a very good year and is clearly a very good quarterback. Not great or elite (as of now), but very good. The numbers show this.

Up to now every game he's had to come through, under pressure, he has. That narrative will take a hit if he has a bad SB. But he will still be a good QB.
just asking a question. How do you feel about trubisky?

He blows obviously. He had some numbers last year, but I have eyes and so do you. His numbers over his career are far worse than JG and he's not a winner. JG is.

They might. Don't bet on it.

Again, you have eyes. The numbers are there. The wins are there. There are about 24 teams that would rather have JG as their QB than who they got (including your Steelers). Big facts.

Nope. JG's numbers are better and were better than Trubs after his first 30 starts.

But sure, JG = Trubisky. You're a genius.

Or twist what I said we can continue to do that. Or put words in my mouth again.

I have only watched maybe 3 Trubisky games, but the sense I get is that he's just not very ambitious as a passer. Jimmy G averages almost 2 more yards gained per pass attempt compared to Mitch. For this season, Jimmy was 2.3 yards per pass attempt better than Mitch. It sure looks like Jimmy throws the deep ball better.

He does almost everything better, come on man. SteelerPride has his mind made up, and also seems to be just sticking to a take just so he doesn't have to admit he was going too far.

JG could have a 22-28 253 yds 2 TD 0 INT Super Bowl and this guy will just say 'well, we still don't really know if he's good, it was just one playoff game'

Then he has a good 2020 season, like this one, and this dude will say 'well, I mean, he's only really been QB for 2 full years, let's see if he..."

You get the picture.

Yeah, Jimmy's simply better. Both the eye test and the numbers confirm it.

I mean, I don't think it's controversial to say JG is a good QB, late top 10. Just common sense.

He has performed like a top 10 QB this season. Does that make him a top 10 QB? Maybe. But even if Jimmy really were just a mediocre QB, as long as he performs like a top 10 QB, everyone is happy.

I mean if you're a terrible QB, but you play like a good QB, does it really matter that you're really terrible?

And the pats thought so Much of jimmy they dumped Him. We can do hypotheticals all day. One started and won a Super Bowl. Jimmy has his chance, And a good one at that
The Pat's didnt dump him. He was going to be a free agent at the end of the season and they would have lost him for nothing.

End thread, drop mic.

6 years. Around two seasons worth of starts. Dude.

So Dilfer was better, obviously

Did you read the article Rock posted on page 1 of this thread? It wasn't one game.

He cut and pasted the text dude LOL

Yeah he probably made all those simple statistics up

Man your agenda will not be shifted. Whatever.

No, you have your mind made up. It's fine, it's just sports chatter.

Guess the thread didn't end after all. You picked up the mic within seconds.

How did Mahomes & Jimmy each fare against top-10 passing defenses?

All this stuff screams game manager. LOL.
13 QBs played the full 16 games this season. Jimmy G being one of them. Yet Jimmy G ranks 19th in attempted passes. Which means their are QBs who played fewer games but still surpassed Jimmy in attempted passes. Why you think that happened? 20 QBs played in 14 or more games. Seems to me his passing was on a leash. You know like most game managers. It hasn't just been during the playoffs.
