I'm happy Coco Gauff won her 2nd round match. I was going to be a little disappointed if she lost. Just because she's shown so much skill and fight, that at this point, I never believe she's out of a match.

So every match feels like an opportunity to win. So even a 2nd round loss would have felt like a lost opportunity.

Partly because I think Wozniacki's ability to get a lot of balls in play, would give Williams more trouble now than in 2014.

And partly because Serena didn't look as dominant right now.

As it turns out, neither made the 4th round.

As Chris McKendry said on ESPN, this tournament has woken up. Wozniacki, Williams, and Keys have all been bounced in this round and we still have Osaka/Gauff coming up.
