Criticizing someone for choosing a local business over a heartless fast food conglomerate owned by foreigners is...interesting.

That's the main thing, he's supporting a local business, so he spends a little more for a few doughnuts, Meanwhile, you have a faux Canadian in Wayne Gretzky shilling for Tim Horton's.

"Can't get money from a stone", eh Jason Kenney? Well times are tough for me at the moment with two kids in crazy expensive Alberta childcare; so can I not pay MY taxes?

What a scumbag. Pretty obvious this clown is bought and paid for by oil and gas.

Cash-strapped rural Alberta 'can't wring money' from struggling oil and gas firms, premier says | CBC News

Hopefully, Albertans vote this clown out of office in the next election, Kenny. I have a lot of family and friends in that province and it sucks to see a leader who has no vision for the future.

Every time you think she’s gone away lmao

She's so dang committed to being completely unhelpful, it's actually remarkable.

The entire Dem primary is playing out so stupidly. The Sanders/Warren spat that wasn't, the Biden campaign's... everything. Seriously. There's no need at all for them to be tearing each other down like this given what's at stake--pit the ideas against each other, let the voters decide, and support the nominee against Trump. Are there better candidates than others? Sure. But between Trump's criminality and the willful cover up by the Senate GOP in the impeachment trial that's happening right now, strengthening the eventual candidate should be the primary goal.

The Republican takes on Schiff's opening statements are absolutely wild. Schiff was excellent. Clear, measured, punchy, laying out the case and its counter-arguments against it and why they don't work. The Republicans in interviews oscillate between setting ridiculous standards to achieve a crime and outright lying about the events, the House hearings:

"Republicans weren't allowed to call witnesses!" (One-third of witnesses called were chosen by Republicans.)
"Gordan Sondland was the Democrats' star witness!" (He was one of the witnesses the Republicans called, because they didn't expect him to testify against Trump as he did.)
"Republicans weren't invited to the closed-door portion of the hearings!" (They were, if they were on the relevant committees and had the appropriate clearance, the same rules as applied to Democrats.)

I hate all of this, because the correct answer is so obvious, and so is the eventual answer, and they're not the same answer like they should be.
