no it wasnt a jermey schapp page it was a press release on the upcoming otl show where one story would be on bledsoe.... the quote came from a clip they used to tease the interview onespn itself

Pretty bold claim for a guy who had 290 fewer TD's and 27 more INT's than Brady would have if he retired this off-season. Not to mention the fact that even just considering that specific time frame, Bledsoe was already 4 years removed from his most recent legitimately high quality season. In fact, Brady's first year taking over as the starter when Bledsoe got injured was arguably just as good or better than Bledsoe had been since that 1997 season as well.

I like Bledsoe's confidence and all that but this is nothing more than a hot take without much factual basis. Brady is a better fit in the offense. I believe tgere was an article about it that I read (no time to look it up) that explained how Bledsoe looked for the deep ball more and was less willing to check to the short, middle stuff that Brady has killed defenses with.

drew did 3 things well:

patted the ball twice to telegraph a throw
forced it into triple coverage
forced it down field, i mean FORCED.

he actually checked down a lot more than people think. he hated intermediate routes i think. in 94, leroy thompson and kevin turner combined for 117 catches out of the backfield, for example.
