3 turnovers in a 3-score game doesn’t look great for your case.
My case? I didn't say Rodgers wasn't responsible but that the Packers defense deserves most of the blame.

Average QBs don't win MVPs or get named to all pro teams.
Guys who complete 51% of career passes with 212 TDs and 210 INT says otherwise.

Well, you did compare him to Donovan McNabb. Kinda sounds like hate. And 21st is a little weak. In the 10-15 range at least, imo.

McNabb thinks that he belongs in the HOF.

It's a subjective list, at best. Everyone has their own set of numbers, rankings, etc. For me, I do the what if?

If Rodgers had Joe Montana's 49ers, could he match Joe's accomplishments? Or Elway's? Or McNabb's? Ir do you judge him by his contemporaries? Back in the 60s the argument was all about Starr vs Unitas. Johnny U looked like the best QB but Starr had the rings.

Aaron Rodgers is an all time great. He has had so many magical throws. GB isn’t an immensely talented team. I just don’t know why people are so damn critical of a stone cold lock first ballot HOF guy.

Passer Rating??? Really?

Carson Wentz has a better career passer rating than Joe Montana.....

When you're already in the discussion and you're better at that stat THAN ANYONE EVER, yes, passer rating counts. He's also 13th in career passing yards, 6th all time in postseason career passing yards, 8th in career passing TDs, 5th in career postseason passing TDs, 13th in career completion percentage, and 20th in career postseason completion percentage.

He had a defense and was merely average at best as a QB
I view Bradshaw in 2 phases. During the height of the Steel Curtain in the mid 70's with SB wins in '75 & '76, yea Terry was viewed as a piece of the pie & doing his part. They had one of the best collections of talent ever assembled on a football field. But once the Curtain began its decline around '77, Bradshaw was a huge reason that they won those last 2 Super Bowls ('79 & 80). He was MVP in both Super Bowls, played a great game in XIII, and a great half in XIV after having one of his worst performances of his career in the first half. Not to mention the sizable uptick in his passing numbers during those regular seasons.

But even in that 1st phase of his career he did more than people remember. With an ensemble of talent around him with Harris, Swann, Stallworth, Webster etc... It's obvious why people like to use his numbers against him. All the while neglecting the fact that he called his own plays, and had arguably the biggest arm in the league in combination with being one of the more mobile QBs. Terry was sort of a 1-trick pony at QB early on which reflected in his career stats. He was called the "blonde bomber" for a reason. When a QB is looking deep a significant portion of the time like the Steelers did, the completion percentage will obviously be lower. But that's what made Terry so effective. His ability to connect on throws deeper than what a defense was expecting. Believe it or not, but later in his career he had amazing precision in the intermediate window. Also the fact that he called his own plays in an offense that had the philosophy to "control the ball" is a lot more amazing than people give him credit for. That sort of offensive execution in an era where defenses were favored should be more heralded than it is.

Terry was a 1st ballot HOF inductee. Certainly the Super Bowl rings helped, but if the panel of experts didn't value his contributions to the team then he would have gone in after waiting a few years.

But I get the popular misconceptions. He's always been something of an immature jackass, and he has spurned his relationships with the team & the city of Pittsburgh. His poor relationship within the lockerroom & against Noll was well documented. He made himself out to be an outcast so its easy to dismiss him. But to not include him in the top 20 is a fallacy.

Top 20? Possibly... I have him as the second/third best QB for the Packers, all time. Favre & Rodgers are battling for a distant second place finish to Bart Starr. If I had to choose between Favre and Rodgers as a QB I'd want, I'd take Rodgers though.

He was playing in the 70s. He was good enough to win an MVP and multiple SBs.
Yes but he’s not as good as many. I think he will drop out of the top 20 or should eventually. Outside of his super bowls he would have been another guy

Yes... Based on intangibles alone he's easily still one of the most talented QBs to ever play the game. But if we're basing this on accolades then he might slip to the bottom of the top 20. His stats are still great.

Tier 1
Brady
Montana
Manning
Brees
Unitas
Marino
Staubach
Favre
Young
Elway

Tier 2
Bradshaw
Rodgers
Starr
Aikman
Graham
Warner
Kelly
Tarkenton
Roethlisberger
Wilson*

List is invalid because of the glaring omissions of Terry Hanratty and Jim Plunkett.

*Wade Wilson? A. RIP B. Really? His numbers are good? Cool.

Russ Wilson

I'd put Sammy Baugh over Hanratty & Plunkett

OMG!

LOL.

A. Oops! Of course Russell Wilson. My bad.
B. The Hanratty & Plunkett line was a joke. I do love Jim Plunkett though.
I figured it was! I'll admit pre 1980 football is not my strong-suit unless it pertains to muh Stillers. So i'm a tad biased but I still know enough history to involve myself in such discussions!

It's hard to rank QBs from today's game, then try to compare with QB greats of previous eras, then try to place them all in the same mix and come up with a proper ranking. All I can say is as a Bears fan who has watched Rodgers own my boys way too many times, as well as how he's played his entire career against all other teams, he is without question deserving of top 10 all time consideration. But if that's too subjective as to where he should be ranked, then at least we can all agree that his being named to the HOF will be an absolute no-brainer.
